Debranding gas station shops
Usually they are fairly simple shops.
Just be very sure to have a unique photo for each question. They are simple, but they will not accept duplicate photos, and be very sure to check for anything at all on the pumps, such as decals or ads that have not been removed. Some of these have to be done multiple times because not all branding has been removed.

I've done them and they are pretty straight forward, just make sure you open the report to make sure you get all the pics required in the report. I did one a few years ago, and as you filled out the report, it required add'l photos not specified in the guidelines.

I have never done a BP/Amoco De-Brand. I do know from experience that the Shell De-Brand is easier and faster than the Mystery Shop/ Audit. The Phillips 66/Conoco/76 De-Brand takes longer and requires more photos than the mystery shop/audit.
They usually aren't difficult. The worst thing that's happened to me on one of those debrand shops is that the owner ran me off of the property when I showed him the LOA. I got all the pictures I needed from neighboring properties and got paid. Apparently he'd been fighting with BP for a very long time and he was done dealing with their issues. At the time his station was more than halfway through rebranding as a Marathon station. I do Marathon shops there often, he has no clue that I'm the same person he chased out of the debrand shop.
Some require you to present an LOA, or at least they did the last time I did them. Shell and Conoco and Gulf come to mind.
Don't know about BP, but even if you don't have to present an LOA, it sometimes goes quicker just to take the photos without worrying about being seen.

And then there is NJ (and maybe still parts of Oregon), where full service is required by law. Try wandering around taking photos while one or more gasoline attendants are watching you. A LOA is essential, and even then you may be asked to leave or the police may be called without warning (yes, that happened to me).

Showing the LOA is required, or was at the time, for BP debrands. I was required to purchase something and get a receipt, show the LOA, and get pics. In that order, according to the guidelines. The guidelines also suggested that you could take the LOA inside and offer it at the same time you made your purchase. This method has worked well for me many times doing debrands. but this guy went clear off the rails.
I did the Amoco debrand certification yesterday, and that is the client that has a mystery shop/reveal audit.
I was able to pick up another BP debrand yesterday, that one was for $100. The address wasn't anywhere on the location, but I got a receipt from a purchase and fingers crossed that will be good. And I did a moving company revealed audit for $100 this AM. I made more $$ the last two weeks of December than the 6 months before it. No kidding.

One of the ones I picked up is full service which is not the norm here. Will see what I can do, definitely need to print that letter out!
@Tiffany0921 - FYI - Amoco and BP are owned by the same company. Regarding the address issue, the guidelines also state you can take a photograph of the street sign(s) near the gas station. Glad you made a nice amount for a few shops! That is how you do it.
