Fotopay

Has anyone used Fotopay? Any thoughts? I apologize if it's been discussed on here. I did a search, but my searches on here never end in any results.

For $2 an assignment, I'll pass unless I'm already at the location doing something else.

I could not find the app. Wrote to them (Android) and they said lots of people have signed up with no issues. It has a funny second O, not really an O but looks like maybe a life preserver. Perhaps I am searching for the wrong thing. But my playstore search only finds Fotoplay with a p in it. Anyone finding it who can give me some hints? I have a Pixel.
@sandyf - That APP is called "Fotopay" as the OP named this thread. It is in the APP stores for both iOS & Android. The APP lets you take pictures when you are out and about and you get paid to submit them. The knee ligament company offers it in those APP stores. The privacy issues concern me.

Yes I have input Fotopay several times now and my appstore, the Playstore on Android only finds Fotoplay. Not sure why that is. But I did read on their website about the new job after they sent me an email about it.
I am wondering what privacy issues you have. Is it your own privacy you are concerned about or the privacy of the store you are in taking photos? I have taken photos in stores hundreds of times when I was doing a mystery shop so I do not see that as any different. But I do wonder about linking a personal bank acct to the app.
The app states that it’s from A Closer Look. There was one gig near me to take a picture of a particular drink from a coffee shop. But it looks like you only get $2 to take the picture and not a reimbursement for the coffee that you need to buy? If that’s the case that doesn’t seem like it’s worth it.
@sandyf - I do not have an Android, but can you go the long route, not directly through the playstore, and use: play.google.com in the search bar and use the search to type the APP name? I can do that on an iOS device.

As far as privacy concerns, the APP will automatically collect more personal data from the user's device, than our normal experience with submitting photographs with an MSC the usual way.
And if we have to purchase the item in order to take a photo that will be a $2 discount on an item you most likely would not have purchased in the first place. But I am willing to give it a shot. some of the pics in the information they sent looked like shelf tags.

This particular coffee location in my area is terrible. I did pick up two of the shops with ACL when they were reimbursement only and the Redbull drink did not look anything like the stock photo. It was terrible and not at all close to brand standard. The pizza place that ACL shops is on the app too with only a $2 pay. I usually do not go there unless its for a shop.

I have a Pixel and found the app on the play store easily.
I am kind of excited about it but I am super into taking pictures. It seems to me like it is mostly for dine in fast food because…it is location based app. Last night I was doing a sandwich shop … the most common one and opened the new Foto app. I noticed there were several opportunities to take pictures of food there. I tried to self assign one and possibly take a photo but realized this is only for in store. I was taking everything to go and didn’t want to unwrap and photograph and rewrap. I am going to try it out today because there is a bakery across the street where I have been meaning to try a certain item that is on the app. Also I have tons of sandwich app points. I think this might work for snapping photos of my rewards sandwiches. Occasionally when I do shops I buy two sandwiches but only have to photograph the one for the shop… This could be a discount of sandwich two. One funny thing about this app is each user has a selfie avatar. I thought I was hilarious because the best recent selfie I have I look great and there is an electronics store in the background. I thought sure whatever and used it. I then saw that one of the other handfuls of people who also signed up also used an electronics store parking lot selfie. LOL. ???? We are of one mind in some ways.
I found the app on my Android phone. It looks to be a very new app....just released Feb 5, 2025, so not even a month old. On Android, it says 500+ downloads, so not a lot of users yet. There have been no reviews written from Android users yet.
My First Fotopay Snap! I am not sure if it is normal to be excited about this but I am. I made an online order on the restaurant’s App for dine in. I opened the Fotopay app when I got my order and snapped a pic of the item. My snap was approved before my meal was finished. I registered to be paid into my shopping checking account via Plaid. I hope this spot keeps popping up because the menu item was delicious. I had a fun time trying the food and the app.
Well for me since my phone cannot find the app although I have not tried in the past few days, if all or most of the photo opportunities require me to purchase something so this becomes a $2 discount on something I had no intention most of the time of purchasing I am not going to bother with it. The time I have to spend checking it only to find out I need to be out $3 or more buying some thing is not worth it for me. I am not interested in discounts I have to work for.
But if it turns out there are many opportunities to pop into a food place or other store and just take a photo of something without purchasing it first please let us know.
I signed up and took a look. In my area, there seems to be some easy assignments at Kroger, where you snap one pic. There's also a sample pic for reference. If I happen to already be there, I may try one.
I have this app on my phone and yes . I have android. If you type in fotopay, fotoplay does come up but then it shows the correct app in the list.

Anyhow, have not seen any jobs in my area, most are 60 miles away at least.

Cool if you are already somewhere it fees are not worth any special trips.
I have it on my Android too. But I'm not too impressed. It's not just going and taking pictures. Purchases are required. For the sub shop around here, there are required subs that I would not select and are costly..probably around $10 or so. Not worth it for a $2 photo..I may delete the app soon if nothing appeals to me.

I got a notification on the app about what's available. It looks like someone completed/"snapped" a Kroger one near me. After, it tells you when it'll next be available.
