TXRH price increases and new appetizers

The Early Bird dine has increased from 11.99 to 12.99. I did not notice any other price increases but have another shop later this week. Have tried both the new mozzarella sticks and the hard-boiled eggs and find both acceptable.

I thought I recognized something was different. The TXRH near me went from $12.99 to $13.99. Still a good value for the amount of food.

I love the chili. I just get a bowl. Occasionally my kid wants the shrimp.

Mine has always been $13.99 for early dine. I have a shop this week and will report back!

An extra side of chili as an appetizer for $4-5 plus ordering meals in the $15-17 range (or getting the early dine specials) means you should be able to stay around $50 or so after including tax and tip if you have a party of two. Remember as well that only one person needs to order a drink. The other can have water. Of course, you can go alone as well and then splurge a little. (Plus at least with the ones at the bar you can chat with the bartender and other guests if you don't like dining alone.)

One of my 3 locations I frequent has fried mushrooms but they are not on the menu. They rang up at 6.87, so less expensive than any other appetizer and they were pretty good. I tried the fried catfish last time and found it really good. After doing steak all the time, I have been trying other menu items.

Can someone drop some hints on which co does TXRH? I used to shop them many years ago and have just started shopping again. Haven't been able to find these yet.

Just saw this. Nice to see TXRH efforts are being rewarded. They invest in monitoring their service levels and making sure staff is doing what they should be doing. Meanwhile, the pasta place is lucky to do a few mystery shops each year.

I was never a big fan of the pasta place. Whenever someone has to say "unlimited breadsticks and salad" first as their description, that doesn't sound appealing to me.

One thing I notice about TXRH is that their management is actively checking ALL tables. I was just at another restaurant over the weekend and watched the manager observe from a distance. This manager could have visited tables and interacted with guests, but did not. Most casual dining places do not have active managers like TXRH. Maybe some don't want to be bothered, but I appreciate the manager stopping by to let me know he at least is faking an interest at worst.

I just did my local Roadhouse today. The early dine was still $11.99, but I didn't see mozzarella sticks or eggs on the appetizer menu. Two early dine entrees, one coke and a water, a cup of chili for the appetizer, a shared slice of cheesecake, plus tax and tip all in was $50 even. I'm good with that.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown

As long as you got to order the entrees you wanted. If you pulled back to be under reimbursement, it's up to you. Personally, I'd order what I wanted and pay the overage. I saw something the other day saying restaurant prices have gone up 22% in the last year.

I haven't done a TRH shop in 2 years because Nikki banned me and the one near me hasn't been available since I was suddenly reinstated without me asking. It just happened!

Just happened to me too, after 8 months of RBG not being able to get certain locations done because too many shoppers had been banned lol.
