Some of the editors work for more than one company and have …issues.
I gave notice at one MSC noting it was due to the hassles, income loss, literal harassment, and inaccurate report rejections with a particular editor (choosing my words carefully and providing proof. Examples: incorrectly demanding early submissions, repeatedly pulling assignments as complete before due dates, incorrectly dinging me when I followed required scenarios, not reading the (often poorly written guidelines and questions.
They investigated and learned my concerns were valid, compensated me for my work and asked me to come back with bonuses.
Same editor showed up at another company. Same scenario. They sided with the editor and I reassigned, then discovered numerous complaints about the MSC here and at the BBB, Trustpilot, and they’d also been booted from MSPA over manufacturing reasons not to pay shoppers and pocket all the fees.
There’s good and bad everywhere so I’ve learned to print/PDF and save screen shots of all instructions, emails, texts, and submissions until I’m paid.
I also have no problem leaving a toxic situation. It’s not worth the stress, wasted time, and lost income.
Advocate for yourself as best you can with your scheduler and the management. If it works, yay! If not, move on and don’t look back. You’re better off without them.
