Have you ever had a shop cancelled and you were glad it was?

I had two gas station shops cancelled. After I read the requirements, I was glad they were cancelled. For these shops they wanted you to take 6 pictures of each pump. For a station with 8 pumps, that's 48 pictures. The shop only paid $10. After reading the requirements I regretted taking the shops. Today both shops were cancelled. The MSC said the shops were posted by mistake. I hope the pay was a mistake, they need to pay more.

More often than I can remember! The only one I really didn't like that was cancelled was the At Home shops. I had 4 set up to do and buy four Christmas gifts I hate giving gift cards but I ended up doing it.

This actually happened to me just a couple of months ago. I picked up a hotel shop in a different state that I had never been to with the intent of the hotel shop being the day 1 travel day/arrival. I also picked up two other shops nearby. This was a three day getaway with my husband. One week prior to the shop date, the client asked the MSC to move the hotel shop to the next month. I had already committed to other shops along the way and did not want to change the dates of our trip. Once we saw the town and hotel that we would have stayed in, we immediately decided that it was a blessing. The town was a total dump and so was the hotel. I will add that the MSC compensated me for my trouble since this was no fault of mine and I had picked up other shops with their company for that timeframe. We ended up having a great trip!

Yes some shops not worth the trouble!

My situation was similar to that of Gigi. My first rate MSC, Informa, AKA Curinos, offered me two shops a round trip of approx. 90 miles. To make the drive profitable, I picked up two other jobs in the small town. The night before, Informa canceled. I E-mailed them and they paid me for the work that no longer existed.

So glad to hear about the compensation for your trouble.

I’ve only had jobs pulled by a rogue (bipolar) scheduler for an MSC that’s been banned by the MSPA and just about everyone else for unethical practices and non payment of shoppers.

I resigned, naming names and never looked back. Huge relief.
