Raising Cane's: MSC swap alert

Box combo only. Do not order counter orders to go. UGH.

The other MSC allowed the Carniac, which was enough for the two of us. The report was so much easier!

Pretty straight forward, 3 photos total (receipt, food in box and food with box open) only need more photos of things amiss. Shop took me about 20 minutes to complete, very redundant questions and narratives. Would I do it again for 4 dollar pay, maybe if Im in the area and really craving an Arnold Palmer.
When TRX had their take out shops, you had to take 3 pictures. (receipt, food in box and food with box open).
I just completed this shop with the new MSC. TBH, I thought it was better with an occasional bonus.
The report isn't difficult, but it's still 3x the amount of effort than the previous MSC. The former MSC may have paid close to nothing, but it required almost zero brain power.
I'm going to miss the image of the person on the toilet with a newspaper in the instructions that the prior MSC had. I thought that was funny they would use that pic when referring to checking the cleanliness of the restroom.

I remember the days when you would see us guys with a newspaper tucked under our arms heading for the bathroom at the work office. People knew you would be gone for 10-20 mins.

It was always nice when people left the sports page in the stall because I did not always have a newspaper with me.
Too many questions about whether the staff is having fun and whether they stand out as unique. As long as they are fast, courteous, and clean, I don't care if they crow like a rooster.

We do the same, but I figure if I place a 2nd order for 2 chicken strips, it evens out and the $5 covers it. I suspect a lot of people share the combo as they always ask if I want an extra plate.
in many cases the fee and reimbursement are set up by client not by MSC. Likely Client decided to change MSC.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
Previous MSC allowed only $11 for reimbursement, while requiring you to get The Box Combo. There were no other payment fees included...
the closest one for me is 50 miles one way.

I always thought that the MSC sets the fee and the reimbursement..
I would expect that the MSC works with the clients on how much they are willing to reimburse. The client probably has NO say in what we get. That is up to the number crunchers at the MSC when they are making their proposal for the project cost.
You guys really like their food? There is one near my home that I drive pass quite often. I don't understand the rave. Yes, I have done their shops before when I got $15 bucks for going thru the drive through or pickup, but often would just eat the bread and drink an unsweetened tea.
Mm, tastes like chicken.

Please don't feed the MSF trolls!

Feeding the MSF trolls bread or other human food is detrimental to their health and the environment. It can lead to malnutrition, disease, and behavioral problems in trolls, as well as water pollution and the spread of pests. Trolls are capable of finding their own food sources and don't require human assistance.
How did you honestly report on the shop without eating the chicken?

I'm getting confused. All these chicken places, I thought this was the Chick-fil-A post.

With this new shop format, it does appear there is more of an emphasis on freshness, quality, and presentation. In addition to the employee's uniqueness.

They’re chicken tenders. You can get them at the grocery store and truck stops for less.

My homemade ones are much better and less expensive.

Overdone concept. These places come and go quickly.
Allegedly, these chickens have fingers.

And feet…But what about the toes…or are those called poppers aka trimming crumbs that were previously wasted or sold to pet food makers?

Chicken feet are actually a culinary delicacy, particularly in Asian culture. I have yet to indulge in frog legs, though.

Interesting that billion-dollar companies can't seem to pay the people inspecting and evaluating their businesses.

Grew up…feeling conflicted when Dad would bring home fried fish and frogs legs on summer Friday nights. They really do “taste like chicken.”

I’ve not yet tasted the Asian delicacy you mention either. Not sure I’d feel good about willingly ingesting parts employed in voodoo ceremonies (eye roll)…

I watched a video recently about Raising Cane's, which sparked my interest in this fast-food chicken space.

Link to the article below, if anyone is interested. I thought acquiring the franchised locations back around COVID was interesting.

Key to keeping its restaurants running smoothly – and customers happy – has been Cane’s decision to operate its own locations, rather than leaning into the franchise business model beloved by most of the industry.

When Kumaran joined the business, Cane’s had roughly 200 locations. About a quarter of those locations were franchised.

“After I joined, we quickly realized that, in our hearts, we are operators, and we’re good at it. We can do it better than anybody else, and we want full control over how we run our business,” Kumaran told CNBC.

Today, franchisees only operate about 3% of Cane’s restaurants, making the company a rarity in the fast-food industry. Most chains seeking to grow quickly franchise their locations because franchisees share the risk of opening a restaurant and shoulder most of the capital expenses. Plus, franchising gives the franchisor consistent cash flow from royalty fees.

I just want to say that Canes chicken tastes about 10x better when eaten in the dining room. I hate it when it gets cold.
I wonder what will happen, if you do a dine in shop and take the require pictures and do all the stuff in the report.

but on the ticket the order taker puts it to go or they put it in a bag and not a tray.

I know we are suppose to take the picture of the food on the tray before we eat it and a picture of ticket?

A few weeks ago I went to BK and I order for my food for the dining room.. But on the ticket, it said to go
and they put my food in a bag. I did not say anything about it,, I thanked them and I sat in the dining room

If they made this little mistake would you say something about and ask for a tray or just sit in the dining room and in the picture show the table and the food? Or will you grab a tray from another table?

It is going down the same way if they put it on a tray or in a bag!!!!

Make it clear when you order that it is to "eat here". No need to take a chance on not getting reimbursed.
Yes, the instructions mention not to disturb the presentation of the food. To take a photo of how it was arranged and handed to you. For dine-in, if the food were put in a box instead of a basket, that would be unfortunate.

Make sure to say the safe word repeatedly, "for here!"

Raising Cane's is the In N Out of Chicken Fingers Limited menu, fair price, quick service, and generallyhappy/helpful employees. Although In N Out has never franchised a location. It appears RC is catching on and keeping that to a minimum.

The RC in southern california are very popular with teenagers and young adults. They can congregate in groups and slide tables and chairs. They cannot do this at In N Out because the tables are fixed in place, so it's harder to get 10-20 people together there.

No one claimed the food was phenomenal. But when done right, the chicken is hot and moist. You got for chicken tenders other places and they are dry. Also the flexibility in saying you want extra fries instead of the bread or giving up the coleslaw for something else. They are pretty flexible. Too bad we cannot test them for those things. I like it better when a business throws a wrench into scenario to test restaurant reaction. Ask for "naked chicken" instead of having it breaded. My daughter has it this way. I know they want the common orders, but they also need to test for the people who ask for abnormal things. Similar to animal style fries at In N Out or a Flying dutchman at in in out.

@gigishopper
You don't have to eat the all of it.... Take a bite..... which is about all I can stand. I only do drive-thru or online pickup.
