Our favorite mystery shopping tiktoker is back

For some reason, I don't view weatherman2111 as being overly righteous. Just my personal opinion in passing smiling smiley

Please don't feed the MSF trolls!

Feeding the MSF trolls bread or other human food is detrimental to their health and the environment. It can lead to malnutrition, disease, and behavioral problems in trolls, as well as water pollution and the spread of pests. Trolls are capable of finding their own food sources and don't require human assistance.

She only has a contract (apparently) with those who buy her product, so her customers would seemingly be most harmed by any false information.

Is anyone here harmed by her actions?

Insofar as I can determine the effects of said Tiktoker, I am not being harmed by said Tiktoker.

Never heard of her. I'm guessing she's why some of the MSCs, like CI, has been putting disclaimers and reminders in their emails that we are not to post what we're doing on social media.
I wouldn't condone her actions based on what I've seen and read but our justice system doesn't run on feelings or opinions.
So of course, go ahead and use this forum to vent, but I was looking at it from the point of view of what is *actionable* - what would happen if a complaint is filed....and circling back, the first question any judicial body will ask is what harm has been done - and that needs to be quantified. Calling the courts sociopathic for needing facts?
Quite different from just finding something to be reprehensible.
Where's the line forming for reprehensibility? (So much of what I see in our society meets that definition.)
I am sure it's miles long as far as I can see lol....

(And... the "other" point of view. I have applied for a gig involving my testing a product and posting "honest review" on social media. Mind you, if chosen, I would create a social media account somewhere in order to fulfill this aspect of the assignment.)

I would assume that the disclaimer doesn't apply to those who's assignment requires something like posting a review.....

Edit to re clarify that this only apply to SOME of the MSCs "I'm guessing she's why some of the MSCs"

Yup. It is good to distinguish.

Yes! To get off topic some, this has been my thought about certain topics on the forums.

Please don't feed the MSF trolls!

Most topics flame out fairly quickly. This one resurfaces.
She has contracts with MSC‘s, if any actually still use her. I see numerous breaches of ICA’s. Some ICA’s have warnings of legal consequences for any violations. Liable and slander could also possibly be on the table. She has bad-mouthed employees on social media and has said they were disciplined or terminated as a result of their actions/inactions on a “shop”.

How about the videos she posts. Are they legal? I remember taking a picture of T-Mobile in a mall years ago. A nice officer in uniform came up to me and kindly told me that taking pictures was not even allowed. Another thing that has been reported by her members is that when they’ve requested she cancel their monthly payment to her, (ACH is reportedly required) they’re ignored and the members have to get their banks involved. Some reported losing a month or two of payments. Were they damaged?

She’s been smacked down a bit. Time will tell if further action will be taken.
Many of the employees she posts in her videos are likely minors. I don't think anyone believes she has the permission of business owners to post videos of children without their or their parents' consent.
Fyi the folks incharge of the TY stuff have told me they will be taking some action to keep her name away from that part at least.

I'll try to view it as a positive, as the concerned community is providing updates smiling smiley

Aside from watching one reel months ago, outside of this forum, the only attention I've paid to this was the email recently from MSPA Americas. Maybe by another's definition, I am a bad person or socio/psycho-path smiling smiley

I couldn't resist bumping this thread again. One of her sponsored ads popped up on my FB page this morning. Kayla is offering $1 a week to sign up for her program now.
Just looked her up on YouTube and all I see are different channels calling out her scheming ways
She may be feeling the pinch but the last time I checked on her, she was talking about "summoning" her Tesla to come and get her.
It doesn't appear they have taken any action with her. Just yesterday she posted a video of an age compliance shop at 7-11 (which she names, also btw she is too old for these shops) and during the shop she is discussing the employee how she also merchandises their Ty display. She includes video of the display.

Might be the quintessential example of what not to do.

You should forward that to the MSC then, among others. Wow, that other part sounds very illegal.

*edit* I have again reported on this to the Beanie Baby MSC and they're aware and well...here's hoping.

Kayla has made a statement about the MSPA:

"Let’s clear something up: MSPA is not the authority on mystery shopping. It’s simply another training program, just like mine. Unfortunately, instead of focusing on supporting shoppers, they’ve chosen to speak poorly about me because they don’t like competition.
In my program, I stay focused on what matters: giving shoppers the right tools, legit company connections, and ongoing support to actually succeed."

I just watched it, and thought it was a pretty good response, to be fair.
In that response, I see one fact and one popular opinion. MSPA is a training opportunity for shoppers. (Last I knew, we could choose gold and/or silver certification). In the opinion of numerous posters here, MSPA does not blatantly advocate for or promote shoppers. Should it? Can it? It seems to be about the clients whose jobs MSPA provides to shoppers. In this role,it MSPA needs to establish and/or uphold boundaries and standards. It is up to shoppers to go beyond MSPA training, if this is what they want.

Shoppers wanted to do this.

Jacob made this forum. Someone made the old Volition. There are Secret Shopper, something on reddit, and similar forums in other countries. Kayla does what she does. I do not do TikTok and am not sure what that is...

This makes mystery shopping appear like a circus with all those involved.

Ineffective MSCs who haven't been able to do anything. Ineptitude from those who paid. MSPA Americas using this as a sales opportunity with a follow-up email promoting its own event. This person/subject. This topic being further discussed or followed.

terrys, I couldn't find your new member introduction post.

@terrys is this the way you write narratives on your reports? You sound like a bot. Oh and welcome!

I was not aware that I needed to post an introductory post. I am an experienced shopper. Yes, I am proficient in narratives. I get straight to the point. Your welcome does not seem genuine.

My experience is reading this post and email. I have zero interest. My only concern is the perception of mystery shopping. I am here for business.

Since you mentioned narrative and stated that I sound like a bot. In my opinion, you may find an introductory English course beneficial. I wrote in shorthand because this subject lacks depth and does not require much further commentary. Much like your updates in this post.

Ignore them there are so many negative folks on this board and it's ALWAYS the same ones. The same ones that act like this are also the same ones with issues with companies and schedulers. And they wonder why.
