I have done three of these. One was amazing! It was a Thai restaurant I had not tried before. You are supposed to order a mix of hot and cold items and also liquid and solid, as well as things you think will have different containers. I was able to get a salad, a noodle dish, curry, rice, appetizer and Thai iced tea. That was a very good experience.
Other order was a specialty vegetarian/vegan place. The food was fairly good but felt like "health food." My SO likes this place so I ordered it. Didn't love it but ordered a variety of things and it felt like decent value. I had lots of issues with filling our this form and then most of my order didn't arrive so I had to place a second order. I spent close to the limit on this one and I'm kind of terrified that I'll have issues.
Third shop was a popular Mediterranean chain. I hadn't tried it and it was pretty bad. They also forget to send two items so that was a pain. I did not care for the food. So, this one was a bummer. But, I was a little interested in trying the chain so I'm happy someone else paid for it.
If you have a restaurant you like, and they are available, it seems like a good deal.
I agree with Sandy that you can kind of get screwed with the instructions to order the least expensive or smallest items. I can hardly imagine that the editors will go to the site and check everything you ordered against the menus. I could be wrong.
If you're open about what you're going to order and already like a restaurant or have one you want to try it could work out.
A restaurant that has pizzas in addition to sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts seems to be about ideal for maximizing the reimbursement.
