Sitting in Five Guys for 15 minutes after getting meal.

It takes me that long to eat the fries.

Geesh, you peeps have difficulty hanging around for 15 mins???

Well, not to brag, I find that it's much more enjoyable taking your time. Savoring the pleasure. Just ask my ladies...ooh, la, la smiling smiley

Perhaps to void the transaction from the stores' P/L statement or bonus programs that may be in place since the purchas is reimbursed by corporate? Don't know, just speculation.

Or, like Carls, to make sure you’re not earning points in the app for a reimbursed meal.
Like upside? Would you be busted for "using a coupon" if you claimed one on upside before your shop? I know you can't double dip for gas discounts but is this type of cash back also a problem?
I'm a weirdo on this one. To each his own but I *prefer* eating at the restaurant. I don't ever do the Door-Dash, uberWhatever, etc. On my own - not uncommon to spend 1 hour + at the diner for lunch or even BK. I read a magazine or mess around on laptop/ I prefer food hot and fresh. I see people coming in , and taking their bag, and leaving. And I wonder - are they not gonna eat that at work or home? It's still gonna take time.

To each his own - part of my "wellness" plan is nice hot meals.

I did 1 hour at a FG yesterday smiling smiley
That is me too. Get refills a few times, read a magazine for a bit, do a part of a crossword and perhaps take a break from the world out there. Many who work in an office go somewhere to get time away from the office. Or if I am on a car trip I really want to stop driving and just chill for a while. When home I want to eat there and get refills for free, love peanuts and dont want the garbage in my own house. It s a nice break to be somewhere else specially if it is air conditioned on a hot day or warm on a cold one.

Staying for the 15-30 minutes is not usually a problem. It does look suspect when you have a late night shop and you go at 9:30-9:35 and you are the only one there when they are closing at 10pm.

Typical lunch time and dinner time shops are not going to be noticed, but a late night visit eating in will raise suspicions.
...ah, the "15-min" thread that goes on for almost 30 days! smiling smiley

Put the smartphone down and go for a walk. At least 30 minutes.
I don't get it. Doesn't sitting around and watching people working long after you're done eating just scream "MYSTERY SHOPPER?" Or even weirdo? Why are you staying in the restaurant for so long after finishing your meals?

You don't have to. It's just 15 min after the serving. Some people do hang out in restaurants when it's quiet thought and read the paper or something.
I eat slowly and that's intentional. When eating with others, I am always the last one to finish. So 15 minutes for me, is very doable.
Whenever I"m on a dining shop, I also eat slowly and make observations. I've never felt uncomfortable nor have I ever had anyone take notice of my habits. I have sometimes taken a couple quick notes on my phone or check news headlines, but not continuously. That seems like a normal diner - to me. If it's the kind of shop where i need to put in a bit more time, I'll order another drink, be it coffee, water or whatever...not hard for me to do.

And this.....ladies, gentlemen and others, is why we each prefer the shops that suit us and avoid the ones that don't. So easy.
