Marathon Editors

I have done Marathon jobs for several years and never had a problem until this go around. I would say 80% of my jobs were returned by one editor who found something wrong with every one of them. In a few cases they were legit but most of them were for infractions that to be honest were not legitimate. They felt every canopy was dirty and returned them for me to correct it. I felt like I was doing an injustice to the location because they were not dirty, they may have had slight rust in the corners but nothing worth calling them out for. I did ask the project manager about it and they said they could not comment on what the editors do. One was returned because it did not have MID in the overall photo. I explained that this was "truck stop" location and in order to the the MID I would have to go so far away it would be a super small picture of the location. I was told I should have noted that in the report but there was no where to note it. On this project they did not have a comments section. I was just given one back asking me to note the "multiple branding infractions at the location" I did not see any. I just respond that apparently I am not qualified to do this job to her satisfaction so if they could please just decline that location and maybe someone else would have better luck satisfying her. I don't know what to do at this point I feel like they are just being petty and trying to find any reason to return the job. I like doing Marathon but they are a bit of distance so maybe this is my sign to let those go to someone else. I am just frustrated with this editor and ready to just call it quits on this job.

Word to the wise... don't argue with the editor, even if you are 100000% right.

Out of about 150 or so marathon shops this round only 2 were returned to me but both were for bunk reasons.
I typically don't they we all know they change the reports when they get them. I have seen it when they return the jobs that often they will rewrite what we write. I really don't care but when you get them returned constantly it gets really annoying. But when another editor does them they go through just fine.
Oh, I will argue all the way to the top. Only if I'm right, of course. Usually over contrary instructions or interpretations of words like, "Excessive." I haven't been blacklisted yet. And I no longer get harassed by the few power-tripping editors that used to consistently imagine errors in my reports. On the downside, the jobs that have guidelines stating exactly the opposite of what the MSC wants are still written the same way so each shopper has to fight about it or just roll over.
Either I lucked out or the Marathon I completed was, being a de-branded shop, through a different MSC. It was my first gas station in over 2 yrs. but was accepted without 2 required pics I was unable to snap due to distance and a requirement to NOT enter the property. I had given up on the job, but the scheduler submitted the report and the editor OKed it for payment.
The debrand that I did the other day was in a place where there was no other place to park. There were zero nearby businesses, and there was no shoulder to pull over on the road. So I pulled into driveway and parked as far away from the c-store as possible. It wasn't worth the fight for only $12, so if they didn't approve it (they did), it would be no big deal.
