I have to do a far deeper annual background check for my main profession, and offered to provide a link to it. They blocked me from the assignments instead.
I'm pretty sure they get a commission for referrals to Checkr.
Chekr reviews on Trustpilot, BBB, and elsewhere are 1 out of 5, including testimonials on Reddit.
There's also a class action lawsuit suit underway for overcharging, data breaches, mixing up identities with someone with the same/similar name, reporting incorrect information, false positives for criminal records, and slow service leading to lost opportunities and damaged reputations, and also the unwillingness of Checkr to correct billing and reporting errors.
