Visa debit nonsense

You know if you do these that they have a fairly high rate of issues. I'm currently escalating one that was declined by an editor who insisted I needed a second debit transaction receipt. The one they gave me has everything on it. It's in the report and the image is clear and legible. Nope, editor is sure there must be two images for this question. Rejected,. appealed, instantly rejected again. Editor is obviously sure they are right. Claimed the shop again, redid the report, submitted.

I then emailed an explanation about what had happened, what I did to attempt to resolve the problem, and asked them to escalate since the rejection was improper. They say they are forwarding it to their QC team.

The only surprise in all of this is that I got fast responses when using the (general) email from the guidelines.

Yes, many restaurants and smaller businesses just have one terminal that prints the itemized receipt and the credit card transaction. They should be able to understand that some locations do not have cash registers that print a separate receipt.
I asked the editor what information was missing from the receipt, what should I have asked for? Question ignored, just "Did you ask?"

Did I ask for what? A second receipt with less information on it?

Ignored. Unprofessional and ignorant don't go well together.

And I have done these before at places that give a single (detailed and itemized) receipt. I've never even gotten a follow up question so I know it *shouldn't* be a problem.
I just keep the receipt that the server brings me and then I also get a receipt when I pay the bill. That way I have two receipts.

Good idea..But, this was a retail store, paying at a POS machine.
Please keep us updated on the outcome. I am dying to hear this one.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I thought to take such shops but after reading such posts I will not do.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
And when you checked NO to two receipts on the report question it asked why. No doubt you wrote exactly what you told us. That editor is way wrong. I had plenty of all-inclusive receipts that were approved without question.
I just did one that only had one receipt, I wrote that I asked for the other receipt and the employee said that's all you get. It was accepted.

This is what they appear to want. If you get a single receipt, it makes no difference if it has everything on it, you have to ask for the debit receipt. They will look at you like you're stupid and tell you that's the only receipt.

But, this prevents their editors from needing to look at the receipt and verify it contains all the necessary information to verify the purchase and whether fees/discounts were added. Because, getting the job done is less of a priority than making sure they can employ the lowest cost editing staff, people who have no clue how these transactions work.

The problem goes all the way up, the "manager" parroted what the editor said. I asked what information they are missing on the receipt and they couldn't answer the question. Their sticking point is that I didn't ask for another receipt (that I knew doesn't exist). My bad for having worked in retail.
I'm just glad I at least got something that I might have bought anyway and a superb deal to boot. It would suck to get stiffed after buying some crazy overpriced convenience store crap.
Wasn't the reimbursement $8 last time? It's $7 now, as prices of everything have risen significantly. Eh, I'll wait.
