OIL CHANGE SHOPS: Discontinued and had to pay $100.00 for one today !!!!!

Wow doesn't it hurt paying for these after 15 plus years of shopping them for free!
That said, anybody know of any legit discount coupons from oil change chains?
Am avoiding Jiffy Lube after hearing horror stories about damaged autos.
Many thanks and let's all pray that these shops return someday.

I use Groupon for local, independent oil change and auto repair places. I don't trust any of the chains for oil changes.

I don't think there are any Russians / And there ain't no Yanks
Just corporate criminals\ / Playin' with tanks
Yea, I just heard this morning on the news that Hybrid car oil changes will begin at $120 now because of the war! OUCH! I only use local folks. I don't even like doing the chains as a mystery shop. But, I will go on their website and they normally will have a coupon on it.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
My mechanic also says to avoid Walmart for oil changes. They drained the transmission fluid out of one car rather than the oil.
I like Valvoline Instant Oil Change. Coupons show up regularly in their app. Service is quick and you stay in your car.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
There are some Volkswagen oil shops. Anyone have one? No? Me neither.
Unfortunately I have a luxury brand auto and my spouse is picky about where I go. I really need an oil change.
Same. I have not paid for an oil change in years. Sigh.
I was hoping these would come around again, we could sure use that comparison task for the college kid and the pickup.
I know a lot of you don't have Rural King stores. But they sell a 5 qt. bottle of oil, full synthetic, all of the weights for $20. They also sell oil filters for much more reasonable prices than most of the autoparts stores.

I get my oil, my car just happens to take 5 quarts of oil, and a filter. Then I go to one of two local tire shops, who charge me $20 to change my oil and filter. I think Mavis is nation wide, but I'm pretty sure that Wilks is a local(ish) chain. $50 +tax out of pocket.

It's a lot better than paying $140 at the dealership. And at Pep Boys the conventional oil is all you'll get for $50 or less, and they won't accept you bringing your own oil and filter.
They'll be out in a week or two - right after I finally get my oil changed!
plus they accept groupon coupons

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
I've been using Take 5 recently. You can search for coupons online. Just for signing up for texts or emails, they give me something like $25 off each time. And I can do it over and over. It's still not as good as FREE, lol, but it has to be done and I'm getting too old to be crawling under my car.
I went to the Dealership one and they took well over three hours! I never had the service evaluation. I wanted to know about an obvious cooling system leak. They never put in Windshield fluid or put air in tire I let out to 30lbs. Next stop (20 miles later)was my own mechanic. He said the car had no oil. They forgot to put the oil back into the Car!! When I fought with the dealership they insisted they only owed me $20 for the oil. I never filed the report because I did not want to be identified.

I hope you left them a bad review online and contacted corporate if they didn't take care of it. Your car would have notified you if you were that low on oil, though, and it wouldn't have driven 20 miles with no oil. They should have been able to address the issue on the spot if it was telling you it was low on oil after you just had the service.

The problem I have had with the oil change shops is that they don't properly reattach the metal plate under the car that they have to remove to change the oil. It comes loose and winds up flapping in the wind or scraping the ground while I'm driving. I have had to have that fixed five times after oil change shops at two different dealerships.
