Very interesting... I knew their credits didn't transfer so I was shocked to read that they are telling their students that they do.
Oh Happy day. Chalk one up to one of the many possible positive outcomes of our efforts!
Wow. I did one of those shops last year. There were no violations by the one I checked. This is shocking.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Cindy, I wish someone would shop Kaplan.

It's another for profit "diploma mill", that pulls exactly the same kind of stuff on its students.

Against my advice, my daughter enrolled in Kaplan for nursing studies. She was told it was
accredited (sound familiar?), that she would be qualified to take the nursing boards of our state
after graduation. etc. etc. etc.

She graduation (with outstanding grades), only to find that not ONE nursing course was acceptable
to the state where we live! She could not take the boards, because the classes she took didn't
qualify her.

She then enrolled in a 4-year nursing degree program with the state university system, graduated, passed her boards, and has been a nurse (R.N.) for a couple years.

But she's the exception; most of her Kaplan classmates are now working at minimum wage job and
are deeply in debt on student loans.

Some of these places are outright frauds. They make their profits on the student loans.
