I got so busy, I opted for the easy way. I don't know whether to thank BGriffin or curse him since now I'm totally hooked on cream cheese and Rotel. Yum! Easy peasy too.
For breakfast, I just did an overnight French toast. I took tips from everyone and mashed them together for a lazy LJ French toast. Left sliced French bread out on the counter to dry, placed it in a dish and covered it with eggs whisked quickly with milk (I meant to use cream, but grabbed the wrong carton) and then sweetened it with a splash of eggnog instead of using vanilla, spices and sugar. See? Lazy. I left that in the fridge over night and stuck it in the oven in the morning. It ended up sticking to the pan, but I pried it off and lost the the crispy bottom. Oh well. It was good and didn't take up my time.
I meant to make my own salsa too, but forgot the cilantro so I'll make it for New Years Eve instead. I had peel and eat shrimp in the freezer that only needed to be thawed, but never got to it. I think I'll make the crab dip tonight and finish off the salmon spread .. um.. like now since all this talk about food made me hungry again.
