Today will be chicken quesadillas and homemade pinto beans with a ham hock. Tomorrow will be chicken pot pie with lots of veges. I took Honny Browns advice and checked out a few food banks. I always have plenty of chicken and a ton of fresh produce now. Thank Honny!
Pepperoni, sauteed onions, beans, cheese and collard greens all mixed together.

Of course every state and community will be different. We have a mix of big city food banks with once a month distributions, churches with bi-weekly distributions, and local food pantries with monthly distributions as well as smaller weekly pop ups.
Black rice sautéed with broccoli, onions and kielbasa. Love the ease of one pot meals.
I have a crockpot going on. Tomato sauce coupled with turkey meatballs, basil, onions, garlic and fresh grated parmesan cheese. Will pressure cook ziti and steam broccoli. Italian bread rubbed with garlic.
Baked pappardelle with my homemade tomato meat sauce, roasted peppers and Parmesan cheese
Black bean chili con carne, topped with shredded sharp cheddar. Taco chips and guacamole.

Plan was for a beef stew with cognac and mustard from the New York Times, but the dutch oven I bought for Prime Days arrived with a chip in the rim.

Went with a slow cooker version from Food Network that we adapted a bit.

Looking forward to the more technical version with the replacement Dutch oven!

Leftovers from a work Thanksgiving potluck for the 3rd day in a row, ugh. Then I have a 3 day break before the family Thanksgiving feast, followed by more leftovers, lol!
My mama made a huge pot of butternut squash soup. #3 made a big garden salad with hard boiled eggs and avocado. French bread. All day long.
Cookie and Kate's recipe for Eggplant Parmesan (light and healthy because she doesn't bread the eggplant), salad, bread.

after 3 days of eating homemade pumpkin soup, I broke down and went to the fish truck that sells fish here on Fridays. I bought a dozen oysters, came home and made oysters rockfeller, eaten with a spinach salad.
On my way home from church I will do a carry out shop. St Louis style pizza and cheese garlic bread (along with homemade salad) for us!

Had a teeny bit of ground beef left after making lentil meatballs and made myself a slider with Brie and sautéed Brussels sprouts on pumpernickel bread.

DDs prepped a chicken pot roast last night. Set the timer and dinner was ready when we arrived home. Made a pot of jasmine rice which took all of 20 minutes. Delicious. Acai bowls compliments of #3 for dessert soon.
Slow cooker spinach lasagna, garlic bread, garden salad.. Used no boil lasagna and RAO's sauce So good! I told my Mom and she was horrified, LMAO.
Fourteen pound turkey in the over because it's so cold out the heat was appreciated. roasted sweet potatoes and carrots because the oven was running anyhow.
