Right now I"m snacking on triscuits and later on I'm pretty sure it will be peanut butter and jelly.

I made Borscht Russian style...my Mother lived in Russian for 4 years and this is her receipe..love it cold on these hot weather days, don't forget the sour creme. Taco salad for lunch, Borscht for dinner.
2 large beets, 1 red potato, boil, salt, pepper, add to blender leaving a few thinly sliced beets. add generous helping of sour creme squeeze of lemon and enjoy.

I thawed pinto and great northern beans and reheated them with garlic, fresh rosemary, and fresh basil sauteed in olive oil and a dash of fish sauce (since I didn't have the anchovies the recipe called for). At the last minute I diced two tomatoes and threw them in too. It was good tonight, but I bet it will be even better tomorrow after the flavors meld.

Kathy, do you use anchovy fillets or anchovy paste? I am not a fan of anchovies, but keep a tube of the paste on hand. Since I don't actually have to see or touch the critters, it works for me

I had a delicious thai peanut salad that I found in the wal mart deli. Who knew? i guess I'll be going back there daily until my kitchen gets installed.
Good idea to have anchovy paste in the house. I don't use it enough to justify keeping it on hand. The only reason there was fish sauce was during his Oriental food phase Youngest Son went through a lot of it. He moved out, but left the bottle

I made Mexican deep dish pizza. In a cast iron skillet I patted out a layer of masa, then added tomato sauce, sliced tomato, crimini mushrooms, yellow pepper, and zucchini. Topped everything with cheddar cheese.

I would suggest skipping Gordon Biersch. Kinda gross IMO.

It may depend on the location. Some are really good and some may not be. The Bavarian Pretzel & Sausage, Garlic Fries and especially the Chicken Schnitzel are good.

I've only been to the one in Midtown Atlanta. It was gross. Plus it's right down the street from The Vortex which basically makes everything else less appealing.

I am working through the dinner hour again and will have the low-cal, more or less nutritious (after I add fiber) meal. But the really good news is that my work report is about one percent of a meal shop report. Somehow, this is good...

bgriffin - I looked at the yelp reviews for the biersch in hotlanta and it got crummy reviews so I can see why you say it's gross. I always check yelp and reviews before I go to a restaurant. Not all the Biersch's are gross though.
