I work in the city. People walk around glued to their cell phones: walking down the streets, crossing the streets, going down escalators, you name it.

What is so fascinating that it can't wait until you can't get to a red light?

There are people of all ages, not just millennials!

It's sad. They ignore who they're walking with, ignore their children and walk into things!

By the time they get to the red light they have already been hit by the vehicle coming down the road/street. Well like they say, if you see something, say something.
It's very sad! They walk around like zombies.

I haven't seen anyone hit, but I do see a lot of close calls.

Dude, older, maybe in his 70s, was walking down the street reading a newspaper in the same manner. That made me laugh!

In my town, no one walks (what's that-haha)...sitting at the Patios at the mall outside, everyone is on there phone, definitely a new culture. How did we live before?????????????????

Live consciously....
LOL! I used to live a block or two from Pico & Robertson. My neighbor and I were going for coffee at Starbucks two blocks away, and he was headed to his car.

I find that I have my cell phone glued to me more than ever since i began mystery shopping. Always checking emails and such. I often am speaking into my cell phone (taking notes) as I walk to and from my car while on a shop. Dumb...but I might forget what their name, etc. was by the time I get to my car. That's the hardest part of shopping for me, remembering names by memory alone. I am taking notes (appearing to be texting) while on shops as well. So, I guess at 63, I am really no different than the kids today.

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.
Today I pulled into a gas station to fill up the tank. The parking lot was crowded and every pump was taken. I pulled behind a woman who was finishing up. She hangs up the hose, gets into her car and just sits there. I'm waiting. I see her pull out her cell phone and take selfie after selfie using a Snapchat filter (the one that makes you look like you have flowers in your hair). She literally sat in her car, parked at the pump, and took selfies at various angles. I finally got disgusted, pulled over to another pump, and by the time I finished, I looked over and she was still parked at the pump taking selfies. She wasn't a teenager either...I'd guess she was around 35. Very strange.

I thought about honking at her, but her bumper sticker said, "If you play me like a fiddle, I'll beat you like a drum."
