What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Coat Closet Commando, and I remember it just because it was so darned odd.

Moderators are going to be as fast at this as they were about fixing the updates and the NSS(N) thread.
The NSS thread has been updated. The erroneous connection to NSSN was removed.

Cool. Now if a member could edit their post to remove the quote, the incident won't be memorialized.

Another day, another dollar. (Inflation, you know.) This is a work day in four cities and two states. It is my idea of a mini-route. For large city dwellers, this is like a drive across town or a trip to the suburbs. Anyway, If all goes well, I will also complete my shop schedule for next month. Have a great day, everyone.

It's just another day in paradise, here. Torn up kitchen, noisy fans, recuperating dog. We had to restrict her to one room so we are all in that room most of the day. It's too hot to work outside or upstairs. No work is possible on the main floor. The good news is that they will finish tearing out the kitchen floor and all of the cabinets on Monday. Then final drying for a few days and cleaning of any remaining mold. Then the new kitchen and bathroom can start going in. I miss salads. LOL Considering everything we are doing great. No one has snapped and picked a fight and the dogs seem resigned to this new and I'm sure, incomprehensible, reality.
I finished my routes and picked up some well bonused shops for the next few days so I'm happy about that.
I just picked up a bunch of work for next week. I'm lying in bed right now being lazy. Going to do a Chipotle shop later then going to pick out my new dishwasher.

Shop-et-al, I'm envious you live close to a state line and can travel back and forth working. That sounds interesting.

CQ, I'd go crazy. How much longer? I guess getting out for work is a pleasant option.
I am trying to persuade my phone to release required images so that I can complete a shop report. I have sweet-talked, cajoled, sworn in seven languages, and issued a few obscene gestures. But, nothing. The phone gives me older images but will not let me have the recent pics. I have tried everything known and a few inventive efforts.

Fortunately, I have an option. The project is not due for a few days and I can return to the location with a real camera and get the needed images. And this could be lucrative because there is an unloved, bonused shop nearby that I could add to another day's work. I intensely dislike the shop, but by then it will pay very well, if it is still available.

You can't email them to yourself and then open the images on your desktop or laptop and save them to your pictures?
Thanks! That works with other phones. It did not work with this phone. I closed my eyes, punched around on the phone, and somehow the images became available. But I don't think my fingers had anything to do with it. I believe that the change came when I glared at the phone and hissed, "If you do not cooperate with me I am going to replace you with an iphone!".

Anyway, in the future I will use this phone for app shops. That does work well.

That is soooo weird that you cant send an email with a picture attachment. I would probably have thrown that phone at the wall much earlier. You are much more patient than I am.
So even when you connected the phone with a cable to your computer, it would not allow you to transfer the images? At least you finally had success. Bad phone. Bad, bad phone. Put it in a drawer and let it think about it's lack of cooperation. Let it's battery die and teach it a lesson.
Youngest Son, who's spending the summer taking classes towards his college degree, came home to meet up with some long-time friends. Today one of his university friends came in to have some car work done. I took them both to Costco so they could stock up on food. Now I'm trying to find a good Mexican restaurant I haven't been to before for dinner after we go to church.

I'm doing the reports from the shops I did this week. I guess that's not really "other than shopping" though is it?
I did grill some fantastic burgers for lunch and soon will start on lasagna for dinner.

I'm boiling some artichokes right now. I am going to thinly slice zucchini and drizzle olive oil and seasoning on the strips, then bake them in the oven, topping off with breadcrumbs and grated parm at the end. That will go with the 1.5 inch Black Angus bone'in ribeye that my husband will be cooking on the grill. We did something odd earlier that never happens: we went to the grocery store TOGETHER. I am really surprised he agreed to go with me! It's like pulling teeth to get him into a store. I took it easy on him and only grabbed a few things while we were there. I always smile to see those cute older couples in the grocery store who shop together and I always hoped we could be like that someday...there is still hope, right?

KathyG, if you haven't tried Espino's in the valley it is worth going out of your way. I was sad Senor Pique closed. It was probably my favorite.

We've been to Espino's, but it was probably about ten years ago. I remember it as being good. Yes, sad about Senor Pique, and even sadder that it's being replaced by a chain (although it will be a new opportunity to shop). We ended up going to Milagro I'm downtown Webster Groves. In my opinion they have THE BEST chile relleno in town.

Watching re-runs of Law and Order, eating cereal and flaking out.....reading instructions for a Dealership I'm doing Monday...ugh

I think you are vegging out, not flaking out? You didn't have shops you flaked on, LOL. Vegging is a good thing. What kind of dealership are you doing?

Oh, I enjoyed that shop. We only have one in my area, unfortunately. Nice paying shop, too.
My town has an "Auto Row", every car but the Tesla....yes, nice paying, but then, it's NOT for Intellishop....haaha

I am giving myself a gazillion hero citations for making progress on a neglected project. I filled bags with stuff to throw away and give away. I calculated how much paint I will need for colorful little projects. I made space in the living room for merchandising stuff-- and it doesn't look that bad. The boxes are medium, box brown. This interesting color blends with the other browns in the room. I calculated the size of a needed bookcase and added shops that will pay for it. I worked my back and gave it some back love. Next? I need to figure out how to spend all those hero citations. grinning smiley

Too bad you can't trade those hero citations for a massage with your local LMT. What did you do to get back love, you have a massage chair, hot tub, etc.?

So this morning I laid in bed until noon (I am in EST). It was wonderful. I am going to clean the master bathroom this afternoon and that is my sole ambition for the day.

CQ, do the people working on your remodel do weekends or are you having some quiet time today? Oh, that's right, I think you wrote you are working this weekend. That's nice, right? How's the sweet little dog doing?
After not having water for around four hours yesterday, I've no choice but to finish up some laundry. Otherwise it is all about me with a home spa day.

No water, that's barbaric! How are you supposed to use your washboard and lye soap (LOL) without water?
