What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I bought the chocolate cups after the holidays last year in a grocery store wine section when they were marked down. They carry them around the holidays but they generally are pricey, I think normally they are about $10 a box and on the discount rack I got them for $2. The port wine you can get at any liquor store or in the wine section at the grocery store. Regular wine doesn't work well in the chocolate cups, it needs to be a good port or something a bit heady. The dark chocolate works well with port in contrast of slight bitterness to sweet. They are a lot of fun to toast for special events.

Today, I am staying in bed until noon, then running my weekly errands.

Today I'm off to yard sales and then to Home Depot to pick out a medicine cabinet, which I hope will complete my renovation duties until it's complete at which time I'll have to put everything back into those rooms. Then I'll go help a friend who is not very technically savvy, learn how to take a photo with her phone, upload it to the cloud and then access it from her computer.
CoffeeQueen, I'm probably not any more tech savvy than that friend of yours. I wouldn't know how to do that either.

This morning I have my accordion lesson. This afternoon I'll need to do some housecleaning.
I am re-watching season one of The Big Bang Theory while waiting for the most recent season to be delivered. Well, no dat. I need to order it. Oops. (We are always a season or two behind because we do not watch weekly on television or online.) For giggles, I decided to find out what I could do today in honor of Sheldon. According to one fan's research and "Sheldonian Calendar", Saturday is for cereal, Dr. Who, and laundry. Once, there was a paintball incident. I do not need to do laundry. It is too late for cereal and Dr. Who. I am doing a TBBT mini-marathon, so who needs paintball? Sorry, Sheldon. But Sheldon does spark ideas. Some of you might agree with that. So what about this? Sheldon organizes his cereal selections in order of their fiber content. Should stores now organize cereals in order of fiber content? Should we do this in the privacy of our own homes?

Unless things change I'm doing very little shopping this week. Instead, I will be tied to my computer putting finishing touches on four projects for three different volunteer organizations that are all due this week. And I will be kicking myself for waiting to the last minute on all of them.

Never do today what can be put off till tomorrow. Best way to miss deadlines or be up really late finishing up assignments.
Making a quick stop at the neighborhood ice cream social (free ice cream!) and then grocery shopping. Laundry later.

Paying bills, getting ready to go pickup scripts for the wife and me. Two different pharmacies the one that I use they are always out of stuff and never check if another location has it. Whereas hers will call around and get it filled for you, but you have to get it yourself. Reading the latest JD Robb book bought it the day before yesterday and have almost finished it. The wife turned me on to her as a writer.
Went to Kohl's to spend my 5.00 coupon+20% off. Bought a cute scarf and Levi jeans on sale, and saved 68.00.
yahoo. Sprouts, picked up stuff for dinner and home watching Criminal Minds all day, on computer and housework.

I stayed in bed until noon today. I went to BJ's Wholesale to buy a year supply of allergy pills and spent $92.

Generic Claritran from BJ's. It's $18 for a 365 pill bottle, and there was a $3 coupon.

I have seasonal allergies year round. I take Claritan daily. In August, I add Zyrtec and Acuzone for my eyelids to prevent styes. In November, I add Claritan D so I don't feel like I'm suffocating. In April, I add Claritan D for the same reason.

I too have year round allergies. It never occurred to me to mix it up a bit by trying additional allergy meds. I have always just stuck with generic Zyrtec. Maybe I will try some Claritin too, as there are times where the Zyrtec isn't doing the trick.
I am enjoying this day. It is beautiful outdoors, I am using my amusing "for this I went to college?" coffee cup (the one with the lady on her hands and knees and scrubbing the floor), and re-watching more episodes of The Big Bang Theory. I especially love the Physics Bowl skit where PMS and AA go head to head. This, of course, means that the Perpetual Motion Squad faces off against the Army Ants in a tight race to determine which team knows the most about Physics. Sheldon, in his rapacious lunacy, does not let anyone on his team answer questions. After all, they just are a janitor, a lunchroom worker, and a relative of one of those peons, the details of which are not important. As it turns out, the janitor is the only person who can answer the game-winning question. Sheldon overrides the correct response. Sheldon accosts Janitor Dmitri and demands to know why he is answering the question-- that was not part of the deal. Janitor Dmitri says, "Here I am janitor. In former Soviet Union, I am physicist; Leningrad Polytechnica - Go Polar Bears".

Going to my all time favorite mall (happy days), you know I'm a mall rat....was just texted by Ipsos, only recently did two jobs for them. They have one of my fav's at one of my fav stores.....fingers crossed I don't spend more than I make....then home normal stuff, getting ready for a working week, just when you think it's over, it starts again. Keeping it short and sweet...

JAS, that was a tip I got from my Dad, who also has allergies. I had to figure out something. I would get styes so bad, I had to have them surgically removed. I thought it was the mascara I would buy every August, so I stopped wearing it. I figured out that it was allergies. My body goes haywire without Claritan. I didn't get any styes last month. We'll see what happens in November.

I am allergic to dust effects my eyes, Allergist said Claritin daily plus two allergy drops per day which burns.
My complex has lots of landscaping so gardner's with their blowers almost daily. Beside that, my Glacoma,
requires two drops a day to control eye pressure, it works thank G__, then Murine red eye for dry eyes so, every time I turn around, it's time for a eye drop or two or three.

If I wanted to kill them, yes.
I forgot to say, during the summer I use Clear Eyes Allergy. Last month, my eyes felt like there was sand in them.

Allergist = Allegra?

What drops do you take that burns? I also take Visine Dry Eyes when I wear my glasses, or Visine Contacts. I have to be more consistent with the drops. They don't get along with M.A.C.

I'm incorporating more fruit and vegetables into my diet. Since hubby is on the road, I no longer have to cook dinner, so I can eat what I want on my own schedule. Yesterday I had a big bowl of shrimp, pasta and vegetables for lunch, and last night I had a big bowl of yogurt and blueberries (an entire pint of blueberries) for dinner with green grapes for an appetizer. Today it was 5 Guys for lunch (shop) and tonight it was yogurt and blackberries with black grapes for an appetizer. Tomorrow I am doing another 5 Guys shop so I will have strawberries and yogurt for dinner with green grapes for an appetizer. Then I'll switch to bananas (they are a tad green still). When the fruit is gone, I will make veggie pizzas for dinner with asparagus, red bell peppers, portabella mushrooms, feta, kalamata olives, red onion, shredded parm, and goat cheese. I bought these mini pizza shells for that. Then I will go back on fruit again. I do a bone broth protein coffee drink every morning that has 20 grams of protein in each serving so between the yogurt, cheese, and that I should be fine without eating any meat. Curious how this is going to make me feel...if nothing else, I should be quite regular!!!

Edited to add that I do realize that 5 Guys burgers are made out of beef...but has anyone tried their veggie burgers?

I haven't done one in probably four months, but they called and offered me an $18 bonus (total fee $24 plus reimbursement) for each. I couldn't say no since I already had/have other shops in the same areas.
The largest bonus I ever get is $2. I get bacon with the bonus. I always say the following month I will do one meat and one veggie, but the fries change my mind.

My next 5 Guys shop is this Saturday and I am looking forward to it!
