What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

@guysmom.. Gynae said it might be my thyroid. I have had a thyroid problem for 11 years now. The dose of my medication might have to be adjusted. I am 37 and I was suspecting it was menopause but my doc disagrees. The blood tests will tell.

I love Groupon. I got a FABULOUS hair cut with deep conditioning treatment and style at a great salon on the cheap. It's very nice!
Please keep us posted. I hope you are okay.

Thyroid person here. Thyroid is like the barometer of all of my life! If thyroid is good, everything is good. Otherwise...

Good luck! smiling smiley

Just saw this. You are very young for menopause, I hope it's not anything serious.

Learning more each day about my new (to me) vehicle. Yesterday, it was readjusting the side mirrors, over, and over, until any vehicle approaching on either side from the rear would emerge in my peripheral vision just as it disappeared from the side mirror. This vehicle actually is designed so that the sight lines are that good when you take the time to adjust those mirrors properly. In my experience that is !@#$ rare.

Today I want to start programming a few things like making sure that all doors unlock at once. Some people do not like that, but it is a pita when you go grocery shopping with or usually travel with one or more adults, if only the driver;s door unlocks with one touch. Never before have I had a car where you could have it the way that you prefer. I did not get the trim that includes ALL of the bells and whistles, but I am amazed at what does come with the one just below that. AND, glad that I skipped the Base trim level.

Also on the agenda... calls to find out who still has enough black mulch in stock that I can pick up on Saturday morning. My teen garden helper is back, after 3 months away, and garden clean-up and improvements are once again high on the agenda.

More of the current project. Build bookcases. One of those will house kitchen appliances and live in a closet (ah, the joys of small-space living).

pick up beloved's prescription, vacuum, dishes, clean bathroom, find safety vest for highly bonused gas station tomorrow.
@JASFLALMT. I don't know. Gynae says I shouldn't worry. It might be related to my thyroid. But in the back of my silly head somewhere, I keep imagining these terrible things that I saw online. My husband is already sick of my morbid brain and the possibilities that it weaves everyday.

Mum, yes, those symptoms could be from your thyroid. My DIL is only 27 and has been on thyroid medicine for at least 6 years now, maybe more. If your thyroid gets out of wack, it can cause many issues. Hope your dr has some definite info for you soon! And I am also guilty of ready TMI from the Internet...not good for the psyche!!! ~hugs~
I am dealing with an allergy related stye on my bottom right lid. I start my job September 23. YAY!!!!!! Tomorrow, at 6am, I am volunteering at the food bank at my church.

First, picking up about 8 bags of mulch, which my teen garden helper has committed to spread later in the morning. Studying the guidelines and survey for a new-to-me hotel shop that had some unusual requirements. Fortunately, it also does not require any reporting on the two room service meals except timings. 99% of the reporting is on cash integrity, but those interactions are structured very differently than any I have done. I have previous experience with a dining room brunch shop at this hotel and it is, by far, the most luxurious that I have even seen, with menus to match! So, a day of pleasant anticipation awaits, lol.

Oh, yes, and a trip to the bank to get a TON of cash for said hotel shop.

Work. We do not advocate brand names here, but I lovelovelove my new walking shoes! They were comfortable immediately, and they are built with Cinderella-stepsister-style feet in mind. Aaaaahhhh.... As a bonus, haha, I can wear them to one or more shops today. I blend in when I wear those and denim and don't look like too much of anything. Essentially, the shoes will go to places which pay my bank account, which pays my trusty credit card, which paid for the shoes... Not quite the house that Jack built, is it... Seriously. They are good in every way that I can identify. They even give me an incentive (indirectly) to lose weight. I bought them at a store with cute clothes ranging from size 2 to 14. I like those clothes! I want to fit into them! Perhaps when I get another pair of the beloved shoes I can fit into some of the cute clothes. Hope springeth eternal, believe in your dreams, etc.

Have thought about doing one more hotel shop. We would miss one day of work (the easy day which costs little to pay a sub). Their fee is covered by the shop fee. Do I want this? Would I be happier in the hills? I can access those for another few weeks before snow and winter sports season arrive. Hotel. Hills. Hotel. Hills. Lip-smacking delicacies. What fits in the pack. Warm shower. Warm layers. Such a dilemma. perhaps I will settle it next year.

@HonnyBrown: You will be fine and glorious when you arrive on your first day of work at your new, fabulous job.

This was last evening....transplanted an ivy house plant...it was getting cramped in its planter because the planter wasn't tall enough to accommodate the root system. The thing is, it felt SO GOOD to get my hands in that potting soil and add it to the new planter with the old soil. There's just something refreshing about getting your hands dirty...haha!! (Reminds me of when I use to fish a lot, and put those worms on the hooks, and get all those worm guts underneath my fingernails...haha!! But I digress...). I'm not really good with plants, they usually die. But this one I've had for nearly 6 years now, and have already transplanted it once. And I've got another plant that I've had for 11 years, and have also transplanted twice, and is now HUGE! So....here's hoping!!!
SEA....there is nothing better than a "good" pair of shoes, take it from one who has experienced this foot problem from wearing the cute stylish shoe for years, and ruined my feel. I am now in a less cute look, have more experience, now wearing a shoe with an actual sole and have to wear (pardon) heavy support socks in the house to stop the numbness in the feet. No one told me aging was such a horror, but then, what's the alternative??????????????????????????

Speaking of plants, my habanero pepper plants has about 20 new buds! The food banks was great this morning, It was our church's turn to do breakfast, so I had to be there at 6am. It was very fulfilling, as usual.

Next week, we will transplant more plants. There is always another priority! At this time next week, all of our old, young, little, and big darlings should be settling into their new homes. They seem to like even the temporary rearrangements that they have experienced. Go figure!

So the early job is late, as it apparently always will be on Sundays. We are allotted one extra hour on Sundays. The job starts two or more hours late on Sundays. Think people understand and have adjusted their expectations accordingly. grinning smiley

The project that 'should' have been finished on Friday will not be finished until next Friday (or so). Unexpected urgent things to do ate up all the time we had allotted for it. I just look forward to the final result. That will be worth the waiting and the delays. It will also be the marker in time. When I gaze upon
that result, I will have only one more current project and one to be done over the Winter, or even the Spring or the Summer, if there are other good things to do.

Yesterday I cleaned the bathrooms, washed the bathroom rugs, vacuumed, and did some laundry. Today I'm going swimming.later but I'm just lying in bed being a bum right now.
I am also a big believer in good shoes. But I don't mind mentioning brands. I love my Clarks! I tramp all over every gas station in the state in them. When I get home and take them off my feet don't hurt at all. I think that's kind of remarkable.
I am currently eating some of that bread that is full of seeds, toasted with some home made blackberry jam. On the to do list for today is a teensy grocery shop and everything else is full on work. Everything needs to be done. I shall pick and choose between mowing, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, etc.etc.
Weather finally cooled down, plants are wilted, deciding if I should re-plant or play...a bit of both and deciding what I want for lunch, but I guess coffee is in order for now.

I did a shop at Five Guys today. I used my phone to pay and check email. When I got home, my phone wasn't in my purse. I used Google Voice from my laptop to call the restaurant and see if anyone turned a phone in. Nope.

I logged into Samsung Find My Mobile. I found out that is a paid service! I tried Find My Android. A map of my home address showed up. It slid out of my purse onto the floor of my car.

I feel bad for cease.

I love Clark's too! The newer styes aren't as cute as the old ones were, which is disappointing.
That's why I haven't bought any in a long time. I like Minnetonka sandals, too, but they are thong style shoes and I like the way the Clark's didn't have anything in between any of the toes. I do love some slip on shoes with good support!

My Mom got a pair of Clarks from Fabulous Footwear for less than $5.

I bought a SmartTv for my living room in May. I wanted to test out cord cutting. I bought a Westinghouse TV with a built in Fire Stick from BJ's in May. The TV conked out in September.

How does a TV quit working while it is still under warranty? Needless to say, I do not want a replacement.

Work. Errands & Tasks. Donate stuff. Possibly, sell other stuff. Gaze into pantry a few more times and get ideas for perfecting the new arrangement of stuff there. It became instantly and and infinitely better because I moved some things to a closet. The next improvements will not seem so grand, but they will be helpful.

I agree about the newer Clarks. Very disappointing. I had to scour the internet to find another pair of my favorite sandals. Not open toed so can wear them for audits, they look nice and keep my feet happy. When these are worn out I suppose, unless they have realized their error by then, I will have to switch to Sketchers. They make a great canvas slip on with memory foam in the bottom. I have worn out two pairs of them now. I just prefer the Clarks . They look better and go with skirts or pants equally well.
I have 3 pairs of Sketchers and love them. I wear Daws sandals in warm weather and Sketchers in cold weather.

I just bought Sketchers (per foot Dr's. orders) and love them, so comfy, wear them around. Had been having numbness in feet, and Doc said not to go barefoot, so I followed orders and do not feel numbness....problem solved. I bought them at Ross, they have a bunch of fall shoes in at great prices. Went to market and saw Organic Spinach Fettuccine for yet another pasta feast, will be healthy made with Jerusalem Artichoke inulin.
Home rest of day washing, sweeping, cooking and such.

I just replaced my Sketchers. I wore them until they got holes in the soles! Very comfortable walking shoes; I put over 3,000 miles on them (according to my FitBit).

I did a grocery store shop today. The reimbursement was $5. I got tumeric and fresh ginger that I need for some recipes.

I once fond a pair of Clark's sandals at a thrift store for $4. I think I may have done a happy dance on my way to the cash register :-) This summer I replaced my beloved Teva sandals with a pair of Abeo from the Walking Company. My feet are very weirdly shaped and I needed something that would Velcro at the front and around the heel. Very pricy, but very comfortable.

Yesterday I was parked at a strip mall about to leave. A car blocks me in. A women gets out and comes to my car. She asked me for money for food!

It was rather intimidating.
