What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Weather is delightful, no wind sun beaming through windows and a cool 76ish. I will meet friends at SB, then play at the mall, bum around as today is my last "free" day, next week is a bear with stuff regarding house sale,
going to consignment shop in Studio City, here we go again.....

Just added to today: planning timings, costs, and possibilities for summer trip via Canadian rail from Toronto to Vancouver. Logistics is my middle name, lol.

I have always wanted to do that, wales. I have looked at that trip many times but haven't found the time to go during the summer, always too busy working.
If you decide to do it, try to plan for a full moon period. Unless the cloud cover is complete and dense, you will see much more than you may think possible on such nights. Just turn out the bed area lights and enjoy!

My next task is to check dates for full moons in July and August, lol.

Just finished looking over training modules for RQA doing inspections, got a webinar tomorrow morning. But, I knew from the first module that this is something I don't want to do after all. I didn't realize the in-depth detail these inspections required. I just feel bad because a few months ago when they asked me if I wanted to do it I said sure. But I didn't understand fully what it was all about until today. Hope they aren't mad at me for saying I can't do it.
Jas, Sent you a PM about this.
ALSO, please tell them you know someone who WILL do it!

Ooops. Jas and I were talking about completely different shops! I do not want to do the one she was looking at, lol. I only want the long haul train shops. I do not do RQA assignments.

I love doing the majority of their assignments, just not this one I was supposed to be training for. Hahaha "training" for this job had nothing to do with trains...
Well Wales, not jealous but, our Metro rail is having free trips downtown on Mondays...that's my train trip..smiling smiley

Not surprisingly, the hubby will need more attention. I will be more active with various aspects of his daily living. On hiatus now means on the care-giving job. Fortunately, I am good at that. All is well.

I was out of town over the weekend, but we had a second showing of the house on Friday afternoon after I left. Hubby did a great job of communicating with our house selling agent and through the power of the internet I was able to sign the contract she sent. It's contingent on the people selling their current house.

Then Sunday morning Hubby and I talked about all the places we had toured and had our seller's agent write a contract for the condo we liked best. After some countering back and forth the sellers accepted our offer today.

Congratulations! I dream of a condo where I have no grass to mow.

Driving out to our nearby airport in a couple of hours to pick my sister up. She's flying in from up north to spend 5 days with me...WOO-HOO!!
Coffee Queen,
Many "fee simple" communities have lawn services included in their HOA fees. Those tend to be much lower than condo fees. Condos need to maintain and save to replace bi ticket items like elevators, swimming pools, etc. And, the homeowner can garden, unlike most condos.

Picked up my daughter from school after the nurse said that she had a headache. She feels much better now. I had a one hour video chat yesterday with a site that I signed up for academic stuff for kids. They wanted feedback from the members who have a lifetime membership. They sent me a $100 Amazon gift card today for the interview!
@CoffeeQueen. I completely agree with you. We bought a condo in 2014 and I am happy staying here. My husband on the other hand wants to get a bigger place (Independent house). I am not a fan of bigger spaces. Cozy and small...that's how I like it.
I made my daily trip to the Vincent dePaul to drop off things I won't need in the new place, dumped a huge stack of plastic flower pots at a recycling facility, and bought cat food. We're transitioning the kitty who was still eating dry food to wet.

So in a perfect world, I have vast exterior and interior space. I grow things, have perfect light for painting & space for my supplies, and enjoy a personally comfy nook or three (or maybe twelve) for reading. The acoustics are perfect, and my type of music is always a pleasure for me. There is private space for my workout stage and table (sometimes it is good not to crawl around on the floor like a wee bairn, you know, and doing these things in front of others scares the scrap out of them) so that I can work on and above ground without modifying too many positions. Etc.

So. Back in life as it usually is..... Hiatus consists of a few days off here and there. I have added only a few work days, and that is a comfortable proportion for me for now. i dunno what December will look like,

Late day eye doc visit, with dilation. I have some very dark glasses to wear to drive home from that.

More of the seemingly endless tasks and errands. Yawn. But little by little, signs of improvement are emerging. This is encouraging. Yesterday, I unexpectedly noticed a salon's bundle: color, wax and cut for less than color alone. I scheduled that for later in the week.

Coloring my hair, washing bedsheets. Might clean the bathrooms. I have been running hard with work lately, taking it kinda easy today.
In bed all day yesterday, intestinal issues, ugh. Today is better. Regular job, leftovers for supper, and Netflix for chill time
I ran around doing gas stations today but they were out of my service area, so I just took photos and came home to debrief. I will do that and then a brief nap. Then back up to make pizza and watch survivor.
Sold a coat on Poshmark, so post office to send it, more errands and lunch at Carl;s Jr. Funny the one near me has the best service and a very decent burger, the only one I do......home to get stuff ready for Veterans pickup tomorrow.

Luna coming early morning tomorrow to fix the kitchen floor they did last year. They didn't give enough gaps apparently and some floorboards are creaking. Other than that, I have been battling a headache all day. The only comfort I had today was Alias Grace on Netflix and a hot cup of tea made by my husband. The 5 o clock dark is driving me crazy. Just feel sad and depressed in the cold.
Go me. Late in the day, I went to the storage unit and completed a little task. There were a few boxes filled with stuff that needed better boxes Today, I corrected the situation. Now, it will not matter if I cannot get back to the unit until next Spring! I can focus on the stuff that is at home.

Not much today. New Guy and I are still slow and strong. The kale is looking lovely. I have the food bank on Saturday.
