What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Today was snowshoeing, then lunch with friends. Great day.

Congratulations to USA men's hockey.

Life was passing like a hand waving from a train I wanted to be on
Everyone home for 3 days. Treacherous weather and we ate and ate some more. USA hockey team was amazing. My Mom is leading a retro Granny Square sweater class. My ladies are aiming for vests, I have my goal set on a cardigan. Back to the physical in person work routine tomorrow.
Ha! Texted my team at 5:45 AM and relayed it was fine to work from home today. More treacherous weather that greatly affects commuting. I got so much work done and we had 3 zoom meetings. Win-win and loving it. Had a great evening as well. Hope you all did too.
Didn't take any work today. Tidying, organizing, mending, while listening to audio book. Morning coffee (at home) with Hubby.
Just have to decide whether I want to walk, or snowshoe or ski in sunshine or with a book on the treadmill.
My favourite kind of day.

Pretty much did nothing. I did bake a cherry pie from our own cherries.

On the railroad. Still not home as I went out after work with work associates. Had a great time and drinks were great.
oh I love the sound of that! I used to love happy hour and the train home on Friday nights smiling smiley

Hiking with friends. Treacherous, icy trail. We all needed our spikes. My thighs are burning from all the up and down. Skiing tomorrow unless the wind warning comes true.
Hopefully I'll be up to mountain skiing by the end of the month!

Laundry marathon, straightened my closet and drawers a bit. Removed all of my daughters' things they stash in there, ha! Cooked and browsed Amazon with my Mom. I need a new stick vac and Mom is needing a small TV in her kitchen.
Trying to catch up on months of missed posts here. Loving the end of a most welcome mild winter generally and a sunny springlike day today.

Laundry marathon, cleaned, started the ribbing on my granny square sweater. Did my first fine dining shop after a 4 month hiatus. Had a great time with my Mom and a lot of laughs.
I was sitting a my computer updating a shop report, when all of a sudden, a opossum ran across my patio. I could see it because I had the blinds open. Scary!
Traveling to the mountains to meet family from Manitoba to ski and hike.
Sitting here right now listing what I forgot. Deodorant, cooking oil, the fruit that was sitting there, butter for the popcorn I brought grinning smiley

This is uncanny. Was wondering where Shopper797 and Prince were! Hi there!
Hi there. I always check this thread to see what we're all up to. smiling smiley

@Prince, my big girl report in 3rd grade was Manitoba. My Dad brought home a beautiful book on Manitoba. The assignment was all about Canadian provinces. I still treasure the book.

@Shopper797, we often see a neighborhood possum when we are out late at night. I do not think he or she is cute.
And... they're off! Artemis II crew, off to the moon... sigh...

"My" next news involves the final outcome of March Madness. Will my team win???

@Madetoshop, Interesting how some assignments stick with us. I remember my report on Captain Cook in grade 6!

I remember a couple of grade school reports. In the 4th grade I chose ‘Alcoholism’ as the topic. I made a collage of hard alcohol bottles for the cover with the centerpiece being a sideways bottle of Smirnoff with a downspout of amber colored alcohol coming out of it. (You know the one). It probably gave the nun pause, which was the intention. Maybe it triggered her, who knows.
In the 5th grade I did an expose on ‘Scientology’ which was heavily plagiarized from a TIME magazine article. I knew there was something scandalous going on but figured it would be better explained by someone else. Can’t remember the grades, as I no longer cared. That probably stemmed from a false accusation from a nun that a poem I submitted while in the 3rd grade was not written by me. My family was impressed with it but the nun gave me a C with a note questioning if I wrote it. Like I scoured Readers Digest and Prevention magazines in search of inspiration. Hated the nuns.
I saved my public high school reports and they were recycled a few times by underclassmen friends. I left the rest to them in the yearbook ‘Class Will.’
I had all day to get stuff done. But nope. This day couldn't have been more lazy. smiling smiley

There. Every necessary thing for now (including arranging to complete half of travels by the end of week 1 in the island game) is done. Finished. Huzzah.

Now, I can be a distant fan and whisper my school's fight song. What. No one wants to hear me sing anything! Especially me! (I leave the accompanying cheer thing alone because that would aggravate stenosis.)
