What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Yesterday I went to our local UPS to get a quote about shipping a picture to my daughter, made copies and stuff. the kid working was angry and told myself and the other customer this place pays under minimum wage and is verbally abusive and this is his last day, so everything is one the house. He wouldn't let me pay for a few copies and large envelopes and said, "take anything you want"......this was a first. Today I'm using my discount 25% off + the ten dollar coupon for being a good customer...still looking for winter Jammie's, but who knows what else I'll find.

CoffeeQueen anything special your looking for? Food network is good. I cook great meals daily for my husband and I. I have a special cook book that I started years ago when my kids were young. I still revert back to most of the old favorites that my mom made. I love Rachael Ray 30 minute meals.
Today I am volunteering at my library, setting up for a big book sale this coming week-end. Cooking only a quick turkey chili for dinner.

I am doing the 7 day celery juice challenge with husband starting today. I am not much for these challenges but then there's always a first.
I hope that poor kid doesn't get in trouble. His boss may be able to prosecute him for theft.

I was just looking for a soup, nothing special. i settled on chicken creole soup which I love and haven't had in ages. I also tossed broccoli and carrot chips in the oven to roast and snack on. Thanks for the offer though. Much appreciated!

Jas....the owners are never in, it's a Mom and Pop shop, they don't have a clue and now he's gone, plus they could get in trouble for paying less than minimum wage. I do wish him the best, he can make 15.00.hr. at MC'D.
No one wants to feel taken advantage but, he needs to handle it better. I've been going there for years with good help. so, think they were trying to save money by hiring him, but place is always busy.
Today going to Lowe's, bank, lots of computer time. Open house Sunday, no cooking, it's sandwich time.

Waiting for carpet cleaning person, have to go out for a few hours, will take computer to Peet's and drink good coffee while on computer, then return home and walk our trails. Weather is mid-80's...gorgeous and clear....... no wind....

Regular job, talked to daughters about holiday plans the rest of the year. It seems the last 3 months whizz by, faster every year. My daughter in Houston is hosting Thanksgiving, she did so last year and we all had a blast. Looking forward to that. Looks like I'll be staying home for Christmas. I'm looking forward to it and will spend time with my sis and youngest daughter.
My standing Friday morning meeting, then on the way home window shopped for new furniture for our new place. Afternoon will be necessary computer and housework stuff, and maybe a little yard work.

So the next week is filled up completely! Just now, i should be doing house tasks. Instead, I am relaxing and checking everyone's schedules so that everyone is everywhere they are supposed to be on time. I had to break up my planned long work days into little bits per day. This is inefficient, but there are a few advantages. We might find cards that we like for the customers (we have not found them after searching in two cities) and I might pick up quick-report shops on the fly. Sprinkled into the messy mix are hair day and nails day.

I volunteered at the food bank this morning. It was crowded due to the upcoming holiday. New Guy wasn't there today. His uncle was hospitalized, and he went to visit him.

Target had a 7-quart air fryer on a Black Friday preview deal. I had gone there to buy almond milk for my demo tomorrow and saw the air fryer on an endcap. It was regularly $129 and I got it for $69! I can't wait to try it out!!!
Today I planted some bulbs for next spring, bright yellow daffodils that will come up along my sky blue picket fence.
Stopped by Target after my Rev Pizza lunch and found (what I had been looking for), a Nutribullet small shake maker discontinued for 15.00, regular 59.00...gotta love when that happens, I buy my Snapple there for 2.20, regular 2.79 everywhere else.....watching pennies...smiling smiley Stopped by SB and saw some old friends, chatted and came back to an open door, literally, broker had a showing and left front door open...geez.

I'd be getting another broker. I spent the day with a friend at a community type event. Came home and made spaghetti and I think a short nap is in order next. After that a movie and bed (again lol). There is literally never a time I can't sleep.
Wasn't my Broker, it was a showing by another broker, and I wrote and told my Broker and told her company.
Thank G__ my place is hard to find and extremely safe, but still, very careless of her.

Had an absolutely WONDERFUL Tues-Sat with my sister!! Took her to the airport a couple of hours ago. Sure will miss her! We had so many good heart-to-hearts, too!!
It's awesome you are close with your sister, guysmom. I am not that close with any of my siblings, unfortunately. I am the youngest of 6. We are all several years apart (my oldest brother is old enough to be my dad, biologically). I do stay in touch with my brother and sister closer to me in age, but not as close as I would like. They both travel for work so they are never home...that sister is with the State Department and is currently in Pakistan, and my brother has been working away from his home in Houston for over a year now. I have been to his house twice since he left home to work and he wasn't there, LOL. But I do get along well with his wife, so...
It is Saturday night. In a college town (not mine). This should feel like a whoop-di-doo or something. But no. I just check out the interesting blend of old and new architecture and am satisfied. I might be the most boring person in the entire history of forever...grinning smiley

My daughter loves hers. No oil, yuk, and it's quick to 'fry/ bake' the kids some lunch or doesn’t want to heat the kitchen up in the summer. She puts almost everything, well it seems to me, in it. Her newest kick is cauliflower crust pizza. They love it, even the kids!

I am close to both my sisters. We have a What's App group just for us three where we gossip, share pics of new recipes, our kids and talk about mum and dad. We eventually added our husbands to this group and they mock us all the time. I am the middle one so it's nice to have an older and a younger one. Love my sisters to bits.

Work. More work. Hair day. Play on forum. Nap.

Oh, rats in a poke. It snowed. I love snow but I wanted a few more days without it. Oh, well. So there are four more known merch days between now and longer hiatuses or retirement. I prefer the longer hiatuses option. I need time for me, at home. Time between projects is a good thing.

My brother and I are close. We text every day. We're 8 years apart.

JAS, I still haven't used my air fryer. I did take it out of the box and it's sitting on the counter.

I washed the basket and let it dry, then turned it on to cook off the manufacturer's protective coating. We used it last night to reheat fried chicken and jojos. It worked great! Looking forward to cooking some meals with it.
My air fryer is now 3 years old. My husband makes the most amazing sweet potato fries for me and regular fries for daughter. I also love making bread rolls in the fryer. I make a savory potato filling. Cut out the corners of the bread. After dampening the bread with just a little bit of water and squeezing it, I fill it with the potato mix and them shape it into a ball. Deep fried is good but air fried rolls come with no guilt.

Edited to add: Snow everywhere. 6 inches and more accumulating.
