What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

@JASFLALMT..Your eyes, nose and throat are in for a treat. Weather is lovely there!! I am glad everybody is okay in Texas. I googled the news about the chemical plant and it certainly looks awful.

I'm back home early since my Dad insisted I beat the storm. Traffic was easy. I came home with a BUNCH of leftovers, thanks to Mom! I had an amazing roast beef and cheddar sandwich for breakfast.

It was so great to spend time with my parents. I am truly blessed!

Today I went to Macy's, not crowded at all, but yesterday was a mess. I bought a great black down jacket with fur collar, warm and cozy for a low price plus a warm Calvin Klein top to go with sweats I have, half off...I'll be warm this winter, and it's 30% here at night, coldest ever. Home making a turkey sandwich for lunch.

Glad that everyone's travels are going well/safely. Good for you, Irene. I like that brand and their sales. T
They have some items that sleeken me (is that even a word?) I am holding off on expensive purchases until a) I will freeze to death if I don't have a different jacket and/or b) the prices go so low that I can get two or three things for the current price of a jacket. (I have a jacket that is a few sizes too large. It is for the early job and the coldest of days here. It holds me and five to six layers of clothes. Eventually I will shrink out of it or Summer will arrive... grinning smiley)

Yes, this will be my 8th trip to Mexico and the 2nd time to this resort. We leave in the morning and will be gone 2 weeks. I can't wait!

Roads are still closed, and there was no early job (for the second day in a row). Again, I slept! For the next little while, I am playing old-school PC games. Recently, I found oodles of multi-packs and stand alone games at a thrift store in a town where I worked. I chose to support their good cause I mean treat myself to the types of games that are acceptable to me. These games that used to be retailed. I am enjoying a set of games that is based upon history. I play without the game sounds and enjoy Christmas music in the background. I recommend this. smiling smiley Later, I must shatter the peace with noisy house tasks (vacuum, etc.)

JAS, I thought you were gone already.

Dad: Sweetheart, do you want to go out somewhere while you're here?
Me: I am out!
Mom: Cracking up and (more) frying fish

So we completed three days of work in one busy morning. Well, there will be an omitted bit from today that we will complete tomorrow. But basically, all is back to what passes for normal at the early job. Pre-storms, there was a meticulously planned and efficient monster merch day for today. Now, there are three or four moderate merch days later in the week. I can get there today, but I have unexpected personal errands to do. But who needs planning, organization, and sleep?!?!?!

I had a blast in Houston with my oldest daughters. Good food, Macys parade, lots of movies, many good memories. Came back Saturday to do MS on both days.
I did my annual bra fitting a few weeks back. I found out that my band size was smaller and my cup size was bigger. Thanks 50.

The designer that I get my bras from had major defects a few years back. I let them know about the quality issues a year or so ago. Because of this, they are replacing all of my bras. YAY!!!!

Bra fittings are important! Long live bra fittings! (Huzzah!)

Just now, I have a contraption that has more hooks than a fishing hat But it is supportive of me and my girls, and I can take it anywhere.

Ack. It could be a great date! grinning smiley

Deep conditioning my hair, baking, cooking and freezing a lot of bacon, groceries, wine store, bank deposit. (I am spoiled; getting a large cash payment has become "inconvenient!) Oh, and as long as the oven will be hot, I might as well bake several potatoes to make a batch of twice-baked potatoes; some for now, some to freeze.

I need to do that...my bras are looking pretty shabby. However, now that the holiday shopping season is here I may wait a couple more weeks and take care of it in the new year. Aren't bras one of the things that are on sale in January?

On the way across town to get to my monthly Shake Shack shop I decided to go to a different branch of my gym. The class that fits into my schedule is yoga.I've looked all over the house but can't find my yoga mat anywhere. (I've come to the conclusion I must have packed it away in a box during my first round of de-cluttering to get the house ready to show.) I'll have to borrow one of the standard group fitness mats and hope for the best.

Weather in Cabos will be 79 and sunny again. Going down for breskfast shorty, then into my swimsuit and relaxing by the pool all day. It's so beautiful here!
I got all my bras from Costco this year. They were on sale. I think the brand name is Carol Hochman. They fit and support great but they make me look bigger. I have been thinking about getting new ones but I am confused between brands and sizes.
k. How about this? I am two merch days away from hiatus or retirement. To me, this is exciting. I will get needed rest and consistent exercise. I can read my beloved bound babies until my eyeballs fall out and listen to scads of edifying stuff that I need to hear. I will be at home long enough to cook something and clean something every day. These ordinary little things will be welcomed back into my world. But that is just me.

What would it take for any of you to retire completely from mystery shopping?

I am retired and it is the best, so good for you. I on the other hand, can't stay retired, due to the fact I was offered four jobs bundled in my town nexr week, making a nice piece of change in return.. I found MS'ing gives me purpose, and is good to have when I want it...so, happy retirement, you will be tired of cleaning, but (like I do), your still allowed to do a job now and then, great to have options, along with free time...

I didn't know Costco sold Carole Hochman! That's the parent designer of my OnGossamer bras that are being replaced.

The baking that did not happen yesterday; hair care; on-line shopping for great-niece and nephew for Christmas gifts. Selecting and sending Jackie Lawson e-cards for the holidays; different ones for different folks.

Doing computer work, preparing for next weeks four jobs, trying to get a target and three other appointments, as tomorrow is eye laser surgery, and I'll drive home alone, a bit worried, but Doc says I'll be alright. Last day of heavy rain, love wearing my new warm rain jacket....thanks Macy's for black Friday, worked for me, $89.00 jacket bought for 25.00.....ya for me!

@HonnyBrown, Yes and they are mostly on sale. They also sell socks and robes from the same brand. I got the socks a couple of weeks ago. They were on sale too and oh they are so soft!
Chiropractor appointment, then some thrift store shopping to find new to wear for two Christmas parties I'm attending next week. Now I'm home and trying to decide if I want to take advantage of the sunny, brisk weather to take a walk.

Irene, I had 4 laser eye surgeries 2 years ago. It wasn't bad at tall. It's amazing how you can go about your usual schedule.
SEA - Bet you are excited about retiring. That's fantastic. Sounds like you have plenty of hobbies to indulge.
First, I have to finish house work. This is neglected when I am merching and mystery shopping. I need to take back some tasks from the hubby, who will do other things now. Then, I can work in my fave things to do and intersperse a few work days...
