What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

@HonnyBrown..couple of weeks ago, just got all 4 done from Discount Tires. We were laughing about how I always mystery shop them and now we really "shopped" them.

Up early, having gone to bed extremely early. I dunno if this is making me wealthy and wise, but it provides the opportunity to complete the early morning workout, reverse the order of gigs, and return home earlier in the afternoon than planned. These are good things. I am almost out of gigs and am hoping that I will have enough voice for the talking head job soon. Tonight I might be available, but I will not be able to use the voice for all those hours. Perhaps tomorrow. ?

Happy Tuesday! Even without a sufficient voice I am going back to the talking head job. The croaking head job. The whispering lips job. Hmm.....

I got my tire at the used tire place on Monday. I was in and out in 30 minutes and it cost me $56. This is much better than Nissan.

I did a pilates workout on YT. I am sore in some very odd places.

I'm not a morning person, so my day really only started about an hour ago. But yesterday I sat down at the piano and tried playing several pieces I haven't played in over a couple of years....eeeeeck!! I need to limber up my fingers some more!! But it was fun. It was also amazing to see what I remembered and what I forgot about playing those pieces.
I am not a morning person either. It has gotten so bad over the years that I can't tolerate any talking, music, or sound unless it is the gentle sound of my bubbling tea.
Monday morning Hubby *who had gotten up earlier than me and had already started his day) tried to start a real conversation while I was eating breakfast. After a couple minutes of me grunting in response to each of his thoughts he got the message.

@KathyG.. That's the same with me every morning. I feel my husband talks really loud in the morning..he seems all jazzed up and energized. I am in my head thinking "curb your enthusiasm" while nodding and grunting. Sometimes, I just signal "volume low" and he gets the message.
Worked, came home, bleached one bathroom, showered. So happy dinner was prepared by 2 DDs. Cleaned up the kitchen. I get to do this again tomorrow. I am not a morning person at all. Never was. DH is an early bird and chirps and tweets. Annoying.
Oh, my. I was rummaging around online and found a project that would be perfect for a wealthier me. It is just a 41-room castle in the historic district of Elmira. There are so many still-good features and guidelines that someone who has time, money, and patience should end up with a gem of a place! Getting it is easy: it only costs ~$100, 000. Getting it and its big barn ready for habitation, show, or sale will cost [I conservatively estimate] millions. *sigh*

Date time with Hubby this morning was a bike ride to try to find the clues in a scavenger hunt book we're working our way through. It was a lot of fun while the angle of the sun was such that there was a lot of shade. When it got hot and sunny we quit.

We went boating yesterday at a nearby lake. It was just lovely. But soon, husband and daughter got tired of pedaling the boat while I was enjoying the view in the back. We paid for an hour but got out 15 minutes earlier. Wow, the things you think when you are idle! Sometimes, I think I keep myself busy with mindless things just to avoid thinking.
Straightening out a charge to one of my credit cards of $2850 that I never made. I am told that the merchant will remove the charge. But, I am keeping a record of everything.

Staying up late to wait for a dryer load. (As per lease, noisy appliances such as washers and dryers must be silenced no later than 10 p.m.) Would rather be asleep already. !

So at work, someone really liked "my" extra chair and one of the left-behind red pillows. When I arrived early today, the person was transferring these items to "their" office. Just now, we are still observing distances and putting people in empty offices, storage spaces, or wherever 'puters and phones can be installed. Mind you, these items are not/never were mine. They were just in the storage space when I began to work in there. The person is happy and the chair/pillow combo looks well in the other office.

I wonder if anything really fabulous and exciting will happen soon in my world... grinning smiley

Got up, commuted, worked, commuted back home. I detest this commutation. Hot, weird as ever. I don't understand how I was able to party after work on Fridays. Didn't do anything but chill and check my veggie plants outside. Everyone on their own for dinner.
Too sleepy for the forum. My tired little peepers thought someone detested communism. But, no. Commuting can be a pita. I am going to bed now and deferring all reading until tomorrow morning.

Poaching 4 huge chicken thighs in the slow cooker; kitchen clean-up; finishing 1 report; making several meals worth of cucumber salad; maybe cleaning some floors. Later, I will strip the chicken meat from the bones and freeze half for future use. The rest will make entrees for a couple of suppers this week. We will have 4-H weather (hot, hazy, humid and horrible air quality) most of the week, so very little cooking will happen.

Laundry: sheets, towels and shower liner.

Jump rope, strength exercises with those band thingies, in the morning. Weathering, erosion, division with daughter. Now, my head feels a bit heavy but nothing that some noodles and tea won't fix. When I sleep really well through the night, why does my head hurt in the morning? I really feel like visiting home, mum, dad, and my sisters. Don't know when that trip would happen with all kinds of damn viruses everywhere.
Movies. Earlier, I accomplished lots and lots of work and an extensive workout.

My exercise walk was pleasantly interrupted by some neighbors I haven't seen in a while.

I find it odd that it sits on half an acre. That estate must have had more land at one point. And it looks out of place when you compare it to the other houses around it.

Yes. What happened to the rest of the estate? Are the nearby structures too new to have been part of an original estate (and is this why they do not seem to mesh visually with the mansion)? Was land sold a bit at a time, over time? Inquiring minds want to know.

Unexpectedly, a quick road trip. Unexpectedly, a not-so-quick road trip because the person who wanted it, like, yesterday, was not quite ready and actually could have used until tomorrow to get their stuff together. Gah. But enough of that. I am finishing my first book from a new-to-me author who was chosen because I liked the movies that are based upon their books. When I finish this author (for now/until I can get more of their books), I will enjoy a Patricia Wentworth mystery. These oldies but goodies were re-issued, or possibly re-bound, when I was not looking. This is a good thing.

your post gave me a good giggle! so how were the tasty weeds you’ve been eating? Haven’t heard that term “weed eating” in a while. Sounds like you take good care of your misses!
Today was the first day back at work. My classroom is coming along pretty good. But I am very tired.
Went to the optician and used my yearly vision insurance benefit to order reading glasses.
