In early stages of clearing, sorting, and refreshing closet and storage room. Dreadful but vital.

Subbed for grade 2 just for pm. I told the teacher I LIKE half days. I've hardly had any half days this year. Got rid of one piece of furniture in town where I was subbing.

Only taking half days this week. Want to snuggle with Kitty until his one way trip on Saturday. Not sure if I'm dragging this out for me or for him.

Zoom book club this pm.

Bummer. Somehow, I lost my Carefully Cultivating vignette in June's Journey. There was a study involving one small, lovely row of Carefully Cultivating, harpist playing Gentle Melodies, and Planting Anew. This was to identify subjective factors for the planters when specific harp music is present. Fortunately, two weavers are filling in and and this change was approved by the grant committee. But did I inadvertently sell the vignette? Did it disappear during an interrupted connection? Can I ever get it back? (Yeah, I know. It is only a game.)

Phew. Found the vignette, restored the original study, and added another element to two studies. We can alternate the harpists (we also have Golden Harp) and get more money and a few more tidbits of information in this study and the stargazing mystery shops. People can comment on the harpists, too. Meanwhile, two weavers are doing double duty as protectors of two of the Holi Festival trees. Ooooh, these islanders are an enterprising group!

Doing laundry and assembling items for husband to pack later tonight as he leaves tomorrow for Salt Lake City and a week of helping our daughter get her condo ready for sale. I also baked a batch of vegan oatmeal cookies to send to her.

Bet it was wonderful!

Wonderful:
The local food and drink; Irish beef stew, fish and chips, soda bread, Guinness, etc.
The kind people, many with blue eyes, naturally.
The history; we toured mountains and Kilkenny. Even passed by Hollywood (you'll have to look that up).
Went "back to college"...Trinity College. Book of Kells.
Spent a day walking the cliffs and fishing village on Howth.
Generally good, clean public transit with free WiFi. (We bought a weekly pass making on/off easy)
Very well manicured and planted public parks.

Not so Wonderful:
Typical urban city with some of the same policy invoked side effects of homelessness, graffiti, disrepair and pan-handling. The religious division. Prices are elevated on everything. We witnessed several people getting on a bus through the exit doors during high traffic time. We witnessed what I believe was shoplifting at a small store as several young males ran out with employees yelling after them. Virtually everything has some form of tax. In history, the English taxed buildings with windows. It was nicknamed, "the daylight tax." A few large historic buildings were built without windows. It prices people out of the economy. On the positive side of this, I believe it was a finance minister who recently encouraged tech and pharmaceutical companies to come to Ireland with a tax break. As a result, Ireland has the highest GDP growth now in Western Europe.

If US citizens would just remember why/how the American colonies got started. A want for less taxation and independence including freedom of religion.
Luna installing floors in our new house today. They started today and probably will be finished tomorrow since it was only the bedrooms that had carpet and needed to be ripped off. Gave a contract to a painting crew through Angie's List and that will take about 5 days. It is Spring Break so we are making the most of it by moving as many boxes as we can.
Driving 2 hours to a city for medical appointment. Trouble with living in the sticks.
Hah. Only a weeny ice patch remains between me and total freedom to go anywhere. I really can do it, but baby steps, ya' know? I just go when I must. Soon, all ice will be gone. Meanwhile, my island is getting better..Added marigolds; one must imagine the butterflies who are attracted to the marigolds...

Family dinner.
Bringing a cake. Had to bake it twice. First one is in the freezer to be repurposed. Lol

Had to re-do the raspberry filling as it didn't gel enough. So many extra dishes.

Lucky I just have this one job!!! -(head smack emoji)
Easter. Always a beautiful contemplation. Pleased with progress on the yucky closet improvement project.

I am not normal just yet. Cleaned, laundry marathon, Trader Joe's, Costco. Two DDs in DC until Sunday. Missing Furry Baby Love as they took him. More laundry tomorrow. :-(
Adding that I so enjoyed Jeopardy yesterday evening. Amy Schneider, you are amazing. Love Andrew He and Victoria always kicks it.
Hah. Love leap-frogging through time and space and from past to present via June's Journey and the rl tech world... Found a goodie for the decency thread...m

Completed our tax form and submitted. Now I'm looking for a box of tea to push over into the harbor. Does anyone remember from history?
I'm Canadian. No box of tea.

Need to do my taxes today too. Unfortunately, our holiday rental made good money last year so I owe a good amount. And THIS year we are facing big expenses there. Too bad it couldn't have occurred in the same year.

The cat went outsise and returned with a mouse. After she tortured it to death, she left it on my bedroom floor. I am not letting her out again.

I was all caught up with laundry but have more now. Reunited and it feels so good. My babies are home safe. Watched an episode of "This is Us" on Netflix at my sister's suggestion. I liked it and will continue.
You are too funny. Ahem, my nephew and brother joined us and we had the time of our lives. The Queens were great, funny, interactive, talented and so very entertaining. Food and drinks were excellent. My outgoing DDs were a big part of their audience interaction amongst others. We have another great memory.
I think you would have a great time. :-)

This Sunday, I am not doing anything but enjoying my family and eating. Thankful for the simple pleasures in life. Maybe TMI or something that will start controversy but I did purchase tickets to see Ru Paul's Drag Race. Party of 4. We are so excited. DH will not be attending, LOL. Furry baby love wanted to play today and scratched my arm up with his dew claws.

The DH knew it was going to be a drag...LOL smiling smiley
Spring break has come and gone and I didn't get much of a break. The three littles keep me busy. Each day I tried to do something fun with them. Glad that we are off for the solar eclipse!
