What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

was a busy day, kinda

finished working on some tax issues
went to the laundromat, did a couple loads of clothes
grocery shopping
lunch
got a massage (love it when I am good to me)
4 mile walk
chit chat with friends

*** lunch was interesting. Asked for the check to pay and restaurant guy said if I gave the place a 5 star Google review, he would knock $7 off my bill. Talk about bribery. I told him I would have given it a 5 star anyway - it was that good - but now the process felt tainted.

Easter prep. Tax return submission. Noticeably less commuters today. It was pleasant!
Hoping that recent snow will compensate for dry winter that brought bears & other critters out a month "early" and even caused lilacs to bloom in Denver in December. Dunno about lilacs; I was always here. Know that some bears were wandering near cabins, presumably in search of food/water. We want them to be in sufficient habitats and territories.

Sooooo happy for Spring Break! Naps, No alarms, walks in the park, spending time with 6 yo daughter, getting a few things done on my to do list, maybe a few shops, breathe, rest, repeat....
Enjoying my Spring Break too. Skiing, family, reading, a few little tasks. Maybe I don't want to work anymore grinning smiley

Enjoying pics provided by crew of Artemis II. Looking forward to more views as their journey progresses.
packing up to leave for the airport, to pick up some family members
then we're all heading for a different hotel, where we'll be together this week.
Lots of fun things planned for the week ahead, Easter dinner this evening.
and yet, I am very much looking forward to heading home east
next week.
I love flower season.

PTO. Cleaned, laundry, started my tomato plants and now will take a glorious nap.
Immersed for a few days in Peter King's Gourmet Detective books. Would love to find ingredients for some of the recipes. Yum!
Looking to talk to an admin for mystery shop forum...how do I get in touch with them?

2nd book in new-to-me mystery series. Overall, a good cozy time.

When, oh when, will the protagonist finish the glacial process of reading dead ex-hubby's information?! Otoh, the longer she procrastinates, the more books there can be in the series...
A busy day in kindergarten and then a shop after work and homework with little 1st grade daughter and then the night routine....I'm tired.
A big day of holding up the couch. Felt like Saturday.

I'm listening to a good cozy mystery series.
Inspector Gamache by Louise Penny. I've read and listened to some randomly. Then I started at book one. I'm done #5 today and waiting for #6 from the library. Hoping to have them all read by the time book 21 is published this fall.

I might skip the ones I've already read.

New-to-me in the pantheon of home management goodies is Dana White's 'How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind.' She dares to discuss deslobification! (Stenosis caused me to change how I do everything, including house tasks. If Virginia Satyr can say there are hundreds of ways to clean dishes, the topic-specific authors can give us hundreds of hints and tips for the overall theme. Nice!)

On the road again.
I just can't wait to get on the road again.

Ta-da! Finished a little rearrangement of kitchen and dining areas. After a few errands, there will be just enough time to catch up on Big Mood.
Listening to a book. Puttering a bit. Feral cat and stray Kitty came in the house. Feral cat is still feral, but will follow the small cat into the house. We can't go near him or look at him. We'll see what happens after another year and a half grinning smiley

@prince What does the feral cat do if you look at it?
