Planted a few seeds. Hope, hope, hope that rain reaches us. Tomorrow 's hike is canceled due to the forecast, but I'll believe it when I see it!
A little bit of house work. Listening to an inspector Gamache mystery.

Yardwork. Tomato plants are dead and the rest are leggy and dieing. Yes, I know they need to be cut back but....

Our Peonies have bloomed. They are gorgeous and a dark pink. They smell so good!
My plants that grow tiny tomatoes are leggy and propped up. I don't know if they'll make it.

Spring cleaning. Found the five books that I absolutely need to read right now. Salad for late-night snack.

Prepping for a full day of gardening. Got behind due to a cold/flu that lasted a month. Hope to get everything planted and mulched by the end of next week, before it gets as hot as blazes.
Pulled out my first rhubarb and made rhubarb pie, plus some for the freezer.

About to call it a day. Worked from home, yay! Going to start dinner prep. So nice when you don't have to waste hours getting fully dressed (I dress from the waist level and up, LOL) and commuting. Poached a lot of chicken for my furry baby loves. Baby furry love chewed up one of my worn once suede mules. He wanted me to play with him all day and I had to keep muting my speakers as he was barking at me. Senior baby love an angel as usual.
I can just picture FuBaLu showing off, and getting into all sorts of mischief, while SeBa is laying there relaxing and observing. As cute as a button…

Please pass the fresh rhubarb pie. It seemed to have passed over me. I might as well git while the gitten’s good!
@ Minime. Wonderful that you are feeling better. Tonight, I went with DDs to take those babies for their long walk. They're so funny and have different personalities. This lady in her car yelled out both of Fa bu las' names as she was driving by. WTH, LOL? DDs tell me the entire community knows and loves them. Made my day. Get gardening now.
Coloring on app. Mostly a relaxing experience (except when ads malfunction). Spring cleanout gave me back my fave indoor walking space for retrograde and side steps.

Nerve is still pinched in back...painful. DD finished VBS this week. Had a little free time to get some things done since school is out for summer. Sister , niece , and nephew are coming to visit! Excited.
Trying to be productive even though I couldn't sleep past 3.
I went outside and tried seeing the Northern Lights at 3:00 am.
Started laundry, read my book, watched Heartland, tried to sleep.

It’s that time of year and my last earned his high school diploma early.
Congratulations to your son SBP

had a fun night out with drinks, dinner and dancing all outdoors at a place located on a big hill that overlooks a big lake
today we are visiting the set of the Gilded Age and taking long walks in the area to sightsee, and learn some history, sister wants to shop lol...

nice change of pace

Life was passing like a hand waving from a train I wanted to be on
Do everything today. My house, yard and garden need everything done.
Looks like laundry will dry outside.

Finished my zone cleaning early. That zone is just so. Nice!

I had to use my expiring rewards points at Wawa or they would disappear forever.

I am realizing that I can't afford my new job. Between the certifications and the out of pocket travel, I just don't have the money.

Another day, another chance to do everything. I'm 71, I don't know how people (some I'm related to) keep their home so clean that it gleams!

Gleams, schmeams! Vaseline on the teeth can do that gleam thing. Relax, already. Deep breaths... Good enough is probably for the best....Only if in dire need, such as failing a health inspection, should you venture into perfectionistic housekeeping tactics. You have other opportunities: enjoy and tend to the outdoors; ski; sub; lunch with ladies who lunch; and etc.

I haven't filed for unemployment for the past few weeks because I thought I would be working. I filed today, will (hopefully) have two weeks of funds in two days, and ready to travel on Friday!

Prince, when I bought my house, I hung sheets outside during a mild drought. My sheets were so soft and smelled like the best parts of summer.

Some varieties of cherry tomatoes that get leggy can be pruned down to a lower main intersection and will branch out laterally and produce more fruit.

I’m in year # 4 with one plant I’ve cut back each year that still yields delicious fruit.
Honey, I always hang out my laundry. Dry climate here. Maybe it saves a few pennies, and the environment. grinning smileyo

Shop-et-al. I want my house to glean like my Sisters in Laws' houses. They're both Italian. I think there's a connection ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I always hang mine outside, weather permitting. It saves a ton of $$ over time, is rather soothing in a zen way, and I love the fresh smell too.
I want to strip the bed in Pepper's room so I can wash the linens. Every time I head in there, she beelines and jumps in the center of the bed. Then she looks at me like I did something wrong.

This has been going on for a week.
