What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I had two appointments I had to wait around the house for, so I took the opportunity to take the flannel sheets off the spare beds and remake them with the warm-weather ones. (Will wait to do my bed, because it's still getting chilly at night.) Also did some yard work and set up an apartment shop to go with tomorrow's Shake Shack.

Yesterday, I bought some dirt and pots for my K-Cup tomatoes and peas. I'll plant them later this week. I have shops at Aldi this weekend. I'm going to pick up some jalapenos so I can plant the seeds.

The windowsill salad plant is growing, but the stems aren't thickening.

I planned to be at home most of the day because the new washing machine was to be delivered and installed sometime between 9 AM and 1 PM. At 7:30 AM I got a call saying they would be here in about 45 minutes! Roused the housemate in whose apartment is the laundry room. Awaiting developments.

A neighbor will be here around 9:30 to put the large, heavy, printer/scanner (that refuses to print or scan) back in its huge box and get that into my car. I will take that to the local FedEx to return it. But I need to call ahead to make sure that there is more than one person in the store. I was told that if anyone is working alone, they are not allowed to so much as walk out to the curbside. I will also package a used toner cartridge and FedEx that back to Dell to be recycled.

Other stuff: making hotel and spa reservations for a shop on the weekend; doing a phone briefing for same; a quick trip to Trader Joe's; Finally, catching up on stuff that was on yesterday's To Do list: laundry; making medical appointments, etc. Tomorrow, back to MS.

Work. Errands. More of the 'Bleh!' project. Thinking I will have only a little merch this month. The other nearby assignments will probably disappear before i have time for them. Wondering about one company that has been pleading for shoppers to help them. I submitted two proposals, in different weeks, for completing multiple shops. Both went unanswered. So, umm, did they want someone to do their shops or not? Or, maybe I am chopped liver. But enough of that. I am excited about projects! Little by little, we are offloading stuff and tasks that have been building up since June of last year. At that time, I was nearly finished with that year's projects. Unfortunately, I walked into the solid arm of a chair. In my defense, I was carrying and relocating things as part of a project and just didn't see where I was going. But that leg has been sore (much more than sore at times) since last Summer. Bummer. Shoulda' bought the Hummer. I mean, I am catching up and the leg is getting better. When the next June gets here, I will have completed all of last year's projects and all of this year's projects. And I will be ready to plop on the porch and read until my eyeballs fall out. That will be a good thing.

Son #1 is getting married in California at the end of the month. I did not want to drag my dress across the country, and my husband did not want to carry his suit, either. Today they got shipped to Son #2's house via the local FedEx.

Sweet day here. The early job was early, and there was time for a nap after work.

I found a few tiny shops which will pay for the cost of a sub at one job, finance the fuel for a trip to mil (which probably will not include shops), and make a dent in the cost of a second visit to mil. These are easy, quick to report, and just what I need to break up large chunks of the 'Bleh!' project. That will be finished soon. I am counting down the days...

... And, I am enjoying what passes for Springtime here. It is warm enough to be outdoors, generally. Still waiting for mountain trails to open up and for free time to go south of the border and to fishing, hiking, etc. which happen earlier than they do here. Birds and bunnies and the larger critters are doing their things.

Went to library and printed out instructions for a huge bank job I'm doing in Beverly Hills tomorrow, so studying and getting a nice bonus...yes!!! Later will do more searching for my trip to San Francisco the 16th, many jobs at the airport, got a great dinner for my return so far. Computer day, no housework, later SB is having their half off on the big drinks, will go get a perk. Later more studying and watching politics on T.V.

A dashboard light came on while I was driving to the gym today, so I turned around and took the car to the shop. They were slammed, and told me that I might not get it back tonight. Came home and puttered around the house. Had to decline an apartment shop with the biggest bonus I've ever seen because it would require the car I don't currently have.

The 'Bleh!' project is completed. I would give it a score of a gazillion and twelve and me a gazillion and thirteen hero citations. But it was not a mystery shop, and there was no survey.

Speaking of surveys: does anyone complete the research surveys that MSCs offer to us?

Tomato and pea shoots have been planted. I met a guy. Toxic train wreck to put it best.

@HonnyBrown; Tell us more, if you feel like it. Anyway, that phrase reminds me of someone from the very distant past. In their world, and speech, and writing, everything that ever happened had to be made to seem as if it were whatever they needed it to be for their nefarious, devious, deviant, or other dastardly purposes. Anyone who dared to dare to dare to dare to believe that they should stand up for themselves or set the record straight came smack up against a wall of resistance. Very odd. Everyone, seemingly, believed what this person said without thinking or questioning. To be fair, ol' printable was the world champion of manipulation and lies, and they did their dirty work well. Fortunately, I recently found another piece of the puzzle. Excellent writers describe ol' unprintable and their victims with piercing insight and wit. Ouch! Well, those people probably are incapable of knowing that they have been identified. But we, the erstwhile victims, feel better and carry on...

So when I read that, I thought a good little thought for you and whomever. I know that you would not exaggerate or plunk in the ingredients to produce a nuclear explosion and then spread the toxic news to all and sundry as if you were an innocent bystander who has attained hero status for alerting all the world of danger. But long-ago unprintable person did that all the time. Then, I was stunned, horrified, shocked, and probably made pained faces that ingrained wrinkles into my face. Now, I have good products, better skin, and an extensive glossary of expletives about the situation. grinning smiley

Meeting the group at SB for some informative (NOT) information on what's going on with our favorite non-hero
(starting with a T, ending with a P) and family news about whose kids did what. Then a trip to the mall, window shopping and hoping there's a good movie on later. Peeking in at the pool, if anyone's there, I will join in and find someone of interest to talk too.....home to "nosh" on all the goodies I have, don't you know I made a blueberry cheesecake yesterday and only ate half...sad smiley

Not much to say about toxic train wreck other than the fact that I have to get him out of my life, stat. He's not, but think married man magnetivity.

I had shops at a hardware store this weekend. Yesterday, I bought plant fertilizer (under reimbursement), and today I bought a stud finder.

I was pleased with today's purchase because not only was it under reimbursement, but I rounded up to donate to a children's hospital.

Errands. Clean the car. Massage scalp. (I need fast hair growth. The new, long layers are a PITH [pain in the hair], and I want my long longs back asap!)

Hope it goes well, Wales! I switched over last year due to aging into Medicare, and after doing my due diligence, am very happy with my new PCP.....I hope yours is a good visit!!
All shopping will end at the middle of the month, so I can get ready to leave for Easter and Oldest Son's wedding on the 27th. However, I was without a car for two days last week and need to hustle to make my monetary goal (set at half of the regular goal amount). I need $100 to get there, so don't expect to have much free time for the next seven days.

Spending all day with my granddaughter...

Today I set all of the windowsill and K-Cup plants on the deck to benefit from fresh rainwater. After work, I went to the animal shelter to look at dogs. The one I had my eye on was scheduled to go home. Back to square one.

The first half of the day was wonderful - a long walk, watching ducks, reading books, etc..... The second half was fine, but exhausting - she woke up too early from her second nap and was fussy to the point of not realizing she was hungry... Sometimes it's tough to be three months old.

All stars, planets, or what-have-yous aligned, and this day was efficient. The early job was early, I completed my assignments in my preferred order, and I returned home early enough to have a little "me" time. This is how each shopping day should be. *knocks on wood*

Running around the mall today brings an invitation to model in Macy's fashion show Saturday afternoon.
The Manager came up to me and asked, guess they needed a senior, and I love the clothes "INC" which is their brand, not carried anywhere else. Should be fun....also got a restaurant I was on the three month hold, but scheduler lifted it so I can do it Saturday night......good day all around.

That's awesome, Irene! You go, girl!!! Have a blast, too!!
After much debate, I bought a ticket to see Citizen Cope in concert.

The debate: I get off work at 4pm, and the concert is at 8pm. That will be a long day for me.
