Hah. Slept late for the second day in a row. This is a rare treat, and I savor it. I might have to cut back on work hours. Sitting for so many hours without long breaks from sitting is not good for my back. If I whack two hours per week by switching shifts, and stop working extra shifts, I should be able to get through the shortest shifts, have time for back care, and go to bed early every day. I did something like this when I began a few weeks ago. Then, I had two night shifts. Now, I need the day shifts. I can change that in early December. Just now, I need to decide about Thanksgiving food [what makes the largest quantity of the most palatable leftovers] and a wee trip to get to the 12' mark from mil so we can at least wave and say, "Hey!" If that is the sum of the visit, so be it.

No visit. imho this is for the best. Hubby just needed to hear it from mil directly. But we got close to her town and had a good day otherwise. Thrift store finds, the beautiful clear day, and a few hours off-line were restorative, somehow.
My garden in England is full of eating-out places, for heat waves, warm September evenings, or lunch on a chilly Christmas morning. (Mary Quant)
