Rebate app (similar to Ibotta)

In the "Are grocery shops worth it?" thread, there was mention of Ibotta as a way to stack earnings along with a MS or app shop (think Mobee, etc).

I also like an app called Fetch Rewards. It's similar to Ibotta in that you scan receipts (grocery, club store, dollar store, c-store, gas stations) and get a base of 25 pts and bonus points for certain brands and highlighted products. What makes it better than Ibotta is Fetch Rewards figures out if you bought a highlighted product. You don't have to identify the product and watch the 20-sec video before scanning receipt (like Ibotta). It's in the Play and App stores if you want to try it. For bonus points when you sign-up, if you want to, you're welcome to use my referral code: FR1TV.
[ They also accept a limited group of e-receipts (online and grocery pickup), as well as newer programs connected to prescriptions and gift cards. I haven't attempted any of these three yet. ]

@Traveliz mentioned Shopkicks; I'm not familiar with this one. I'd be happy to sign-up under your referral code if you'd like to share.

I love Fetch Rewards. I find that I rack up points VERY quickly. I also use Ibotta, Checkout 51 and Coin out smiling smiley
How do you get the rebates applied, please ?

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
@walesmaven For ibotta, you simply download the app onto your phone and then pick the items from the stores you want. You usually have to scan the barcode of the items and then send a picture of your receipt. Its pretty easy. All the money goes into your ibotta account and you can withdraw once you reach $20 I believe. I've received $363.11 so far. I can send you my referral code if you would like smiling smiley
Thank you. I have a good friend on a very tight budget. She does not drive so we ride together to shop for groceries. She is much more adept with her phone than I am and could accumulate points from both of our purchases, I think.

I read about Fetch, right here, in this forum. In just a few months, I've racked up $12 in free money. It took very little effort and will cash out at the end of the year. Thank you MSF members!
@walesmaven She definitely could! Ibotta is actual cash. Fetch is points. With both you can get gift cards but with ibotta you can get actual money.
Like @walesmaven said, your friend definitely can accumulate cash back and points from both of your purchases! And the receipts that get scanned for Fetch Rewards can also be scanned for Ibotta! Fetch will always give at least 25pts and cash back from Ibotta depends on the currently active products (there are also "any brand" offers that pay like 10 cents - 25 cents usually). A nice feature of Ibotta is for purchases at Walmart, you only need to scan the QR code at the bottom of the receipt (versus capturing the entire receipt which might take 1-3 photos).

Good luck on your joint shopping adventures -- Now powered with cash back and points! : )

I find Ibotta to be a pain because you have to go through and "find" the offer. Fetch is much better. I really LOVE Shopkicks. If you are going to sign up, do it fast. They usually offer more kicks when there is a holiday.

I love both Ibotta and Fetch Rewards. I've cashed in over $300 in Amazon gift cards with Ibotta and am a few points away on something with Fetch. With either one, if you get your shopping buddies to sign up, you can get some nice referals. My one friend is a personal shopper and scans all the receipts of his clients. Another is a shopaholic. They are on my team, so I get a lot of bonuses on ibotta for that.

I use Checkout 51 and Saving Star which are very similar to Ibotta. I also use two receipt scanning apps where you earn points to redeem for cash/gift cards -- Receipt Hog and Receipt Pal. Simply scan store or restaurant receipt for points that can be redeemed for cash or giftcards.

Checkpoints is an app similar to Shopkicks. You earn points for scanning specific items and 'walk-ins' (to use Shopkick lingo.) The app also offers surveys to boost points earnings. The app can be glitchy at times, but I've earned a few hundred bucks over the past couple years using it.
I use Receipt Hog as well as some of the others above. I get about $5/mo from it. RH gives points for many kinds of receipts, not just groceries.
