Fix their phone for up to $350; then return scam???

Company sends their phone and you have it repaired that will cost up to $350; then you return the phone back to them. Is this a scam?

What's the fee? Which MSC?

There is a legitimate company that is doing this. It is on their website, and there is another discussion thread about this. I can't remember which MSC, but it is legitimate if it is the same one. it is on their Sassie job board.

I have seen something similar on the Gigspot app. I have been sent phones before for non-repair shops from a different MSC. That involves no out-of-pocket expense. This should be legitimate.

It's the same one OP mentioned here: [www.mysteryshopforum.com]

And here:

Since the violation hasn't been fixed as of this posting, you can see the MSC and the client.

I have seen yet another variation....Take your own phone to get the screen replaced at a mall kiosk type place. Reimbursement was ~$180 and idk if there was a shopper fee. I only noticed this because (of course), we just replaced one of our phone screens.
I have seen this on the job board of a legitimate MSC. It is not a scam. The scenario makes sense to me also.
