I love kitchen gadgets. I have an air fryer that I love and have beat to death. When this one goes, I'm looking at the combo convection/rotisserie/dehydrator/whatever else oven. I don't do microwaves and the air fryer is so good at heating leftovers and just about anything non liquid up.
Jas, I have an old mortar and pestle that my sister used basically every day and I now use about twice a month. I tried to make pesto with it for my Easter lamb chops and I made a huge mess because it was too small. I'll stick to blending spices with it. I have a bunch of those crappy food processors, but I'd love to get a nice big one.
My boyfriend's brother had a Ninja and it blew up in his face. Luckily it didn't do permanent damage other than a few scars that make his pretty face look like a normal face. Those things scare the crap out of me now.
I've thought about an instant pot, but I have a crock pot and can't really justify having both right now. I bought a bread machine for $5 on my last day of working at the thrift shop before we closed down and I have used it at least twice a week. I imagine that the novelty of it will wear off after the quarantine and I'll give it back to the thrift store.
My boyfriend's pop was a butcher and he inherited their little apartment in his father's house so he brought them here for me. Most of the knives don't have names, but they are amazing as long as maintained. There were a ton of utensils in there that I had no idea what they are, but I brought them home anyway. One day I'll figure them out.

I don't keep any appliances out on the counter. The only things out on the counter are glass canisters for flour, bread flour, red lentils, orzo, black beans, dried peas and a big fruit bowl.

I have two knife blocks holding cheap but functional knives. My ideal knives are Cutco. When I get that set, I will do away with the cheap ones.

I don't use my mandoline often. I have a Excaliber dehydrator, so use the mando for getting veggies and stuff ready for it. Have I ever sliced my fingers? Yup....

Who owns and uses a mandoline? Do you love it and use it often?

My sister was scared to use her mandolin as well so I sent her a pair of gloves. She too is now a mandolin convert. [www.amazon.com] is roughly what I got. My original pair a few years back was around $10, the pair I sent my sister had gotten the price down to about $8 a pair and now they are 3 pair for about $10.
