Anyone ever try an electric unicycle?

So I bought on a few weeks ago, with the sole intention to get around my city and not incur the gas expensive of my vehicle. It's wicked! I'm probably months away from being proficient on it, but it tops out at 35mph with 60 miles on a charge.

There's a guy here that commutes on one. Coolest thing ever. He's very good. Does things I would never attempt, that's for sure. I've thought about getting one.
Had to look that up because I was thinking of a circus clown. These look more like a one-wheeled Segway, sans handle. I have seen people on them before. What keeps you from losing your balance and falling off?

I have ridden an e-bike several times and they are awesome.
I weighed ebike vs this EUC (unicycle). And decided for the price and specs, I was getting more bang for my buck on the EUC. I went mid range.

The wheel stabilizes front to back from due to magnets and this is what drives it forward and backwards. But no stabilization from side to side.

I never got on a segway, but do believe it's sort of the same thing. Actually whoever bought the segway brand is competing in this market.
Awesome @Dongjuan! I am a fan of all micromobility options. 60 miles @ 35mph is pretty good. What's your plan with carrying items, if any?
Are the seats less torturous than the seats on typical bikes?

No seat at all. Learning curve took a bit. About 4-5 hours, but your feet get soo tired that it was really like 30-45 minutes a day. As for carrying items, I can carry a bag pretty easily in my hands, but often I find myself wearing a backpack now.

Here is a great video of what it is...

I'm knocking out gas station audits now and it's treating me well. When I gotta pop inside, I just lock it outside for the time needed.

I'm at about 75% unicycle and 25% truck now for my transportation.
Just watched the video....quite interesting. I would think that a rider would eventually NEED to sit on something while riding, after watching that. Or have some handlebars, or something! But then I guess it would be too much like a motorbike and not unique. I can see where it would also get tired on the legs.
So @Dongjuan, how fast do you typically travel on this thing and where do you use it (streets in car traffic, bike lanes, sidewalks)?
So I'm still fairly new on this thing (little over a month at this point), so I'm by no means an expert.
Right now I'm comfortable at the 15-25mph level.
I prefer riding in streets, but tend to stay on back roads. If I have to be on a busy road, then I stay on the sidewalk. As sidewalks in my town can tend to be very bumpy and doesn't make a comfortable ride!

I've seen some modification where people will put a seat on their wheels. This looks way more dangerous than standing. I can at least jump off if things get dicey! My feet have built up a tolerance where it doesn't really affect me to much to ride for say 10 miles without having to step off and rest the muscles in the feet.
How was that even filmed? In this one, he has a selfie stick: [www.youtube.com].

Probably good not to go faster than that: [www.youtube.com].
