Interesting, thanks for the cool tips to everyone. I'm thinking about getting myself an Amazon Prime. I ordered lamps for my mom last week at [www.amazon.com] / and if I issue a Prime, will the delivery time be reduced? I just want my mom to pay less money for services and ordered her new lamps, and the delivery takes a very long time. And I also wonder if Prime applies to the whole family or only to one account and does it provide useful features for trading on Amazon? It's cool that subscriptions are appearing nowadays and you can save on some goods and services, thanks guys!

Amazon applies to only one account but multiple people can use that account. As long as the person with the account is willing to share the password, others can log in and order, You can have multiple payment methods and multiple shipping addresses. My brother has Prime and I use his account and so does our other brother, our mother, his girlfriend, and two friends. Each of us has loaded our own credit card information for payment and our own shipping addresses. Prime delivery is faster and is free. BUT be careful when ordering that the item you order is "eligible for Prime" - not all items are. And some items are shipped from a seller location and there is a shipping cost and a longer shipping time.
I bought a 30 gallon trash can for my kitchen during Prime. I purchased the large trash bags from Wal-Mart. It took close to 3 weeks for the trash bags to arrive. With Prime, they would have gotten here in 2 days.

Moving from the hotel that I shopped last night to an oceanfront hotel with kitchen where I can relax for 2 days and nights while finishing a report touring the area, and just enjoying the view. Gotta love hotel rewards nights earned by doing hotel shops! Driving home on Saturday and will be ready for Sunday Halloween T-or-T.

Based in MD, near DC

The one thing that I most want from Amazon Prime right now is the complete set of Garage Sale mysteries (starring Lori Loughlin). There are sixteen movies and Hallmark has not shown kindness by supporting this movie series. It dropped Loughlin, which is their choice and makes me wonder if their values forgot to include grace, and dropped an entire ensemble cast. It is expensive, but I think I will be glad to have the set. It means I will have to work more in order to pay for this. Wish me luck!

I have Prime and it definitely arrives more quickly, except when I agree to a later date in order to get the $1 credit on digital purchases. You can accumulate them, then get a nice discount on a Kindle book or anything digital.

If you have a smart TV or Roku or Amazon Firestick, which I assume you do if you watch Amazon Prime videos, look for an app called "Cinema". I find it has many TV shows and movies that are on the for pay apps. It is easy to search for them. Or if you have a Firestick, hit the search button and ask Alexa to watch "garage sale mysteries".

Could Hallmark have stopped supporting the series when Lori Loughlin went to jail?

@wrosie: Yes. It is related to that issue. However, they did not seem to consider fans, the rest of the cast, crew, and writers. Those people were not involved and they lost jobs. It would have been easy to create a story arc in which Lori's character went missing for as many episodes as needed to continue the series, let the other actors do their thing, solve mysteries that we like to watch, and eventually find her (or not, or find her with amnesia and never coming back) and close the series several or many movies later. Hmmph. I do understand the concept of disassociating the brand from one actress. I do not understand severing viewer opportunities and curtailing viewer pleasure. By now, Lori has served the required time and, it was revealed recently, paid for other people's college educations. Why punish me?!

I take advantage of the credits to buy music. They accumulate but expire. I have to use them quickly so I end up buying songs.
