"Life Itself" was awesome! So many different elements pulled together perfectly.

"There's so much trouble in this world; surrounded by miracles" - Citizen Cope
I watched "The Intersection "on Amazon prime with Richard Gere, Sharon Stone. I saw it before and this time I fast forwarded over the ending. smiling smiley
"Without a Clue" with Michael Caine and Ben Kingsley. The spoof's afoot! grinning smiley

Dear Evan Hanson. Perhaps if I had seen the play I would have enjoyed the movie more.
"One Frightened Night" from 1935

It was a dark and stormy night... no, really. It was! In black and white and with the thunder, lightning, and rain on the mansion, the effects alone will delight. The plot is unfolding as I type, and I must get back to it and find out two things Whodunit? Was the person who commented about the difference in buying power for all those millions correct? Would that money be worth that much now?

I watched the 1964 political thriller, Seven Days in May on my TV through the TCM Roku app last night. I found it very intriguing and kept my attention all the way through.
Recently, I watched some of 'Crown Lake' and was intrigued by the various story lines. The newly impoverished queen made me think of the one-off flick known as 'From Prada to Nada' as well as the longer 'Schitt's Creek.' How difficult it is to be a transitional character (Nellie)! ! The story that drove me to do a little research was the one about the athletic program. I went to the entitlement information and learned a little something. I had wondered if the student who was a transvestite or possibly a transgender person [I was not certain of their identity] was intended to make us think about sports in schools. Should male, female, and other growing/changing body types compete against each other? What about growth and weight spurts mid-year? Should this change on a person by person basis if someone essentially outgrows what seems to be a reasonable parameter for safe competition for all? Is there any parameter for safe competition for all? Inquiring minds want to know.

With Kim Novak, and Kirk Douglas. She is such a beauty, and powerful actress.
'Charlie Chan and The Scarlet Clue' features early days of broadcasting, Sidney Toler as Charlie Chan, Benson Fong as Number Three Son, and the incomparable Mantan Moreland as Birmingham, who is spot on with Ben Carter. grinning smiley

Huzzah! Unexpectedly, I found two new-to-me, two-part Agatha Raisin shows on Acorn. Mind you, no more than ten minutes ago I found my 'As the Pig Turns' book and interpreted this as 'ere's yer sign, luv!' Only briefly, I squealed like a pig, hoped that Bill Engvald would not mind, and settled in for a cuppa and an Agatha Raisin... grinning smiley

Last night I watched the 2011 movie version of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." I liked the movie but hated having to speed through commercial breaks on this recorded version. I have been a huge fan of the book series.

Today is the day to re-watch 'The Slipper and the Rose.'

I kinda, sorta, burst out into song when they began the 'protocoligorically correct' number..... who does not like PC when it is done this way?!

I saw most of While She was out on Amazon Prime video. It starred Kim Basinger. I didn't watch the end. I had enough.
Hop-a-long Cassidy movies from the 1940s, on IMDB streaming channel (same channel with the new Judge Judy show)
Hoopla streaming - up to 10 movies/television shows per month for free with your local library card.

Thousands and thousands of movies/TV shows - lots from Acorn, BBC, Hallmark, Canadian Channels, History, MZH
Just found The Good Liar with Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren. Does she suspect? Must keep watching to find out about that..... and not to put too much of a spoiler on it, she is no Corrie ten Boom...

If you haven't seen them Yellowstone and it's prequel 1883 on Paramount plus and Paramount (current seasons of Yellowstone aren't available for the paid Paramount plus accounts, but the past seasons will hook you).

Mayor of Kingstown is also really good on Amazon Prime or other streaming apps like Cinema.
So the next movie is on Tubi Faith section. It is called Finding Faith and teaches us how to avoid young Faith's online missteps. Who is behind online profiles? How do they find us, and what do they want with us? How do parents or anyone else ethically observe kid privacy while implementing kid safety? Erik Estrada stars in this safe-surfing film.

I saw a movie on Netflix, The Lost Daughter. Maybe I am not a very deep person and I don't get symbolism and art, but the movie sucked. It was so boring that I had to take a break. I was watching it only because the reviews said that it got a 4 minute standing ovation at the Film Festival. I had to stand up to stretch my legs and after having invested so much time in it, I just wanted to see it end. Has anyone seen this movie?
Ah, yes. Two offspring and I watched it due to the rave reviews. Yes, we understood it but it left us feeling a bit sad. It was slow moving.
.
Tubi has several seasons of 'The Saint' for free, for fun, and for fans of Roger Moore, Robin Hood, and assorted questionable activities.

@Madetoshop. I understood the movie but a standing ovation for 4 minutes, that I didn't get.
Splitting watching the 4 hour director's cut of "Lawrence of Arabia" on TCM between last night and tonight. (Recorded last night.) FYI, each (Correction) Saturday night this month they will air another epic, such at "Dr. Zhivago," "Bridge on river K," etc.

Silly and sad and sleuthy, all in one. For the first time, I am watching Miss Congeniality 2 (2008). (Sleuthy.) Early in the movie, "The Housewives" are in the bank and ready for a hold-up. (Sleuthy.) The blonde "housewife" looks like an image I saw of the beloved shopper who died on the job while in California (sad!!!!!) and who shared that they sometimes used scarves, glasses, and other disguise tricks of the trade. Silly of me to notice and say something. This movie is not highly rated at IMDB, but it is a good movie for regular gals who occasionally have moments of brilliance, if not elegance and grace. Go, Gracie Hart! (But please be careful and don't trip, pick a fight, or otherwise belie your name too much.)

I know you understood. I don't know why it was rated so highly either.
