Irene, I'm sorry if you feel badgered. I'm not sure I understand why exactly, but I know I wasn't out to badger or control anyone. I was simply expressing my opinion that I think there is quite a difference between having a religious discussion per se (different religions' beliefs, who's right, who's wrong, etc.) and the sharing of life's difficulties and asking for prayers. At least in my mind, there is a big, big difference. I have never before seen people get heated up over someone asking for prayers, but I have seen people get heated up when they start discussing individual religions or particular religious beliefs. If people asking for prayers from their fellow shoppers is really that offensive, I think it's good not to read that particular thread, thus no offense would be created. I'm sure there are dozens or more who haven't read that thread at all and simply aren't interested. There are numerous threads that I haven't read because the topic doesn't interest me, and I'm not offended that it's there. If Jacob wants to remove it, that's his right. If he doesn't, then it likely will continue for those of us who want to support each other through prayer.
