ANDROID STORAGE ISSUE: Audio files

So I do a recording in my Samsung Android and save it. But when attempting to upload to report, My Files page does not open up. The only way I could upload it was by sending to my my mail and then downloading it. Then it shows under downloads but originally after recording I hit save and the message said saved to downloads where it was not accessible.

I am wondering if this is a storage issue, so after I delete stuff, how do you determine if I deleted enough ???
Thank You Much.

It sounds like a simple matter of not knowing what folder to look in. And I can't offer any suggestions, because I would not know where to look either. Sometimes you just have to look around. You solution of mailing it to yourself seems like a good idea. I doubt it is a matter of storage.
When I press find file, it does not bring up the My Files page of downloads and audio files. But when not attempting to download in the report, My Files is then accessed as it normally is.
Where are you pressing find files? What MSC platform? Are you using your phone to do the report? Are you using a PC?
Using the phone only to upload the audio then I finish the report on my desk top pc. Do it this way because I could not transfer audio to desk top. Thanks for your assistance.
If you can record something it's not a srage issue. Deleting enough is a hard question to answer not knowing how long you recoding for. And if you can send it to your computer you obviously know where to find the file.
voice recorder: red with white perpendicular lines is alright. it doesnt always save correctly but its good for shops with percise time measurments and indepth reports.

I'm assuming you are working on your personal computer / laptop with a USB cable to your smartphone...

On your Android Phone, under "USB Preferences" select "File transfer / Android Auto."
A files window should now appear on your computer, with "Internal Shared Storage" showing for your smartphone. Numerous file folders should appear. You should first look in the "Downloads" or "Recordings" folders. You can see the storage space as well.
