What’s are your favorite comfort foods and go-withs?

Mashed potatoes with lots of real butter, home made potatoes au gratin and mac and cheese, rhubarb pie in season with real whipped cream, Earl Grey tea with double bergamot, a dash of cream, and a spoonful of maple syrup, and home made lavender mint lemonade made with honey, are a few of mine, and when I’m feeling low, miso soup and seaweed salad.

Chicken soup of almost any variation- egg drop, matzo ball, veggie, noodle, rice, always with crackers. Tea with raw or brown sugar. Rice pudding.
I like making ham and beans or chili. I like them both with Red Lobster biscuits right out of the oven.
Tuna fish salad sandwich on toast

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
I make cream of chicken soup and add a can of chopped chicken, lemon pepper, and finely chopped celery for crunch. With or without Ritz crackers.

I alwyas toast my sandwich bread in a toaster over. Lightly on the outside and a little more on the inside. I find this keeps any saucessuch as mayo from getting soggy and also the carmelization of the bread enhances the flavor. But I like my bread slightly soft on the outside. Lately I have been exclusivley eating the Hawaiian Keto bread. Delicious!
My comfort food is anything full of carbs! Ugh! I need to start a support group for being hooked on carbs. I finally have almost given them up, but boy, it's so HARD!

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Seems like potatoes and cream of chix soup are popular choices. Thinking about making a ‘Funeral potatoes’ casserole this weekend if I have time. Gunna try the ‘Southern Living’ recipe. It uses thawed hash brown potatoes, sour cream, onion, cream of chix soup, spices and a crispy buttered topping. Not a fan of corn flakes through.

I can only think of a comfort snack _ Chix in a Bisquit crackers and that spray cheese in a can. Had my first taste of it as a kid at a neighbors house and wanted to eat the whole box. They no longer sell the sharp cheese with the orange top, so my interest has waned.
