I'm beginning to think I have been nuts to keep doing this. I have been mystery shopping and merchandising since 2005. I was determined to make a full time income at this. I have worn out seven cars and made some gas stations very rich. I have worked from daylight to after dark and groveled with the different schedulars. I have been deactivated from one company several times. It always seemed to happen right after they sent out the 1099s when they saw how much money I was making.
This winter I have been very ill and when this company deactivated me yet again I was puking my guts out in the bathroom and decided to just let it go this time. I had decided to just slow down but since it took me so long to get to feeling better this time I cancelled all the shops I had scheduled with other providers and have just rested.
Now as I sit here and count the money in my pocket I am amazed at how much I still have at this time of the month. I am beginning to see that most of the money I was making doing this work was being spent doing the work. I think I will be better off for the time being staying retired. I am not going to cut off my nose to spite my face though. There are some companies I have a good relationship with and I know I can schedule with them when I get back on my feet.
