I've had good experiences with them, for the most part. Sometimes it takes the schedulers awhile to assign the shop to me, but other than that, no issues. I mostly do their tanning shops.
Always great experiences with them!

The first time I received 5 shops from them, I could not for the LIFE of me find the location. Turns out the street number was stuck where it shouldn't have been (in a numerical sequence) from early city planning.

I ended up not having that shop finished, and I felt terrible about it, though I emailed the scheduler as soon as I got home.

The next month they had these shops available with - my nemesis "STREET NUMBER"! I emailed the scheduler and asked for the opportunity to redeem myself. .LOL! They assigned me 15 of these shops!

The pay schedule is great - I get my pay like clockwork, and I really appreciate that! Bummer now I'm stuck in the rotation!

I like this company. I, too, had a shop with a wrong address so I did a judgment call and did the shop I knew was the one they wanted. Sent my report in and then got this emai back stating I hadn't gone to the right shop so the report wasn't any good and I wouldn't get paid. After a few emails back and forth I got them to understand that the street number they gave me? It just wasn't there and I had called the phone number to confirm the address which was the shop I did. All in all we got it straightened out and I see that they are now offering the shop again but have the correct address. I think the client neglected to tell them.

I'd do any shops with them that I could get but I'm in rotation now, too.
I Love MCP. They are currently one of my go-to companies for when I need money by the following month. I too had an incident with them and aked to redeem myself, which they let me. No other issues here!
So far my experiences with them have been good. I signed up this past November and have completed 4 shops for the company.

Sincerely,
H.A.R.D. at work
They've been ok with me, unfortunately the only shop they have here now is the adult store.

No issues with payment or shop acceptance. The only beef I have with them is that they will sometimes sit on shop applications until 1-2 days before the due date, then assign them.
I have signed up with them, but haven't been assigned any shops. My applications sit there until past the due date. I am not sure why they just sit there. Kinda strange.

Hopefully the schedulers will get on the ball soon and start assigning these shops before the due date.
I've done about 10 shops with them over the 12-15 months. They pay pretty well and are timely. I would take more from them but they just don't have enough variety in this area.
I really like them. I have worked with them for a couple of years. I always get paid on time and communication is usually pretty good. I have a phone number and they have an office in Louisville so they have lots of jobs here.

The only frustrating situation I've encountered was recently. I was told last month that if I did a bunch of phone shops that this month I could self assign, When they hit the board in the middle of the night one day last week I went in to assign and couldn't self assign. I applied for the 8 that were on the board and got none of them. Some else was obviously able to self assign. Self assignment would have earned me $56 this month that now I won't earn. I wrote an email about it Thursday and haven't heard anything back yet. sad smiley

One shop they do you have to be really careful on. The mattress stores have employees that float from store to store. If you take these, plan on doing them the same day. Today's employee at store A might be at store B tomorrow. It happened to Ken last week. He walked in an recognized the employee right away. He turned it into lemonade by talking to the guy as if he was looking for a job and was doing the legwork to see if the various stores had enough business for him to consider selling mattresses for them. lol During the discussiong the guy told him he would be at store "C" tomorrow because they sent him all over. Ken just went back while that guy was busy at store "C" the next day and did store "B". Then Friday, he called store "C" to make sure that guy wasn't still there and went and did that one.

I once did stores 30 miles away from each other and six months apart and wound up with the same salesperson. Those mattress stores are tough because of the floaters.

"Finally, whatever things are good, true, noble, lovely, of good report...if there be any virtue, if there be any praise...think on these things." ....It's a command, not a suggestion!
Wow! I thought Ken was new, that was some quick thinking. You must have trained him well, LOL!

Thanks for the warning.
In "rotation" means most MSC's use a 3 mo. rotation system so if you shop ABC Store, for instance, in January, you will have to wait 3 months to shop ABC Store again.

In other words, you rotate every three months.
Seems lIke I am the only exception here. My experience with MCP was very bad. I wont shop for them if they were to be the last MSC left on earth! They gave me a lot of hassle regarding payment.
Rotation varies by client. Anywhere from 1 week to 1 month to 1 year to 1 time!

You mean like approved as a shopper or actually getting your first assignment?

My first job with them paid $350...loved it. It was not a mystery shop though, more like a promotional thing.

I have a mattress shop on Friday so I too welcome the information about the floaters. Thank you. It's my first so don't expect too much problem. Any hints of anything else I should be watchful for besides the salesperson lying down next to me!!!

Kind of awkward in itself lying on a bed in a store, but to have the salesperson lie there too, and for 5 minutes. I'm apt to fall asleep...now that would be embarrassing.

Cettie are you sure you don't have an embarrassing moment that had anything to do with a mattress shop???
Lying on a mattress you are shopping for shouldn't be awkward. I've been on lots of mattress shops for jobs and for myself and have yet to end up with a salesperson joining me, LOL! Usually the associates stand at a respectful distance, but if one even started to crawl in next to me they would find out quickly just what a bad idea it was!

BTW, it is much easier as a traditional shop. The real challenge is doing one as a video shop and worrying about the camera slipping or the DVR falling out of your pocket!

Oh, I had a funny experience about a mattress shop. I was alone in the store and the associate insisted that I try a number of mattresses and some pillows. But he was perspiring so much, I felt uncomfortable. Then he opened the backroom and told me they had special mattresses there and maybe I would like them better. He said, "Go ahead, try them." I declined telling him that I was meeting someone in 5 minutes and asked for his business card so I could call him regarding my preference. He gave me his card and it was all wet. lol.
Hi geauxcj,

I schdeule for Measure and can certainly help you get signed up.

I had two written mattress shops and a video dental shop scheduled in a town a few months back. It was the tail end of a week-long out-of-state route and I woke up that last morning with a stomach virus. I gave it the old Harvard try, but felt increasingly green as the morning wore on.

The first mattress shop, with its requisite testing out three mattresses, did me in. Goldilocks I was not! I could not get out of that store fast enough when it was over.

I had to call Measure (hi, Robin!) and let them know there was no way I could do the rest of my shops that day. There was no way anyone was going to work on my teeth that day. Whaddaya gonna do, ya know?

I went back a few weeks later to do the dental video shop, but the mattress shops had already been assigned to other shoppers.

I love MCP, by the way. smiling smiley

Yes. I never seem to get my sign up stuff, and it says my email is already in their system.
I used to do mattress demos and had one guy on the mattress chatting away for half an hour. Never had anyone fall asleep.

By the way, when I was doing the demos, we were never allowed to sit except for our breaks, let alone lay down on the mattresses. So, if a salesperson does that, it's probably a big no, no. Also, inviting a customer into a backroom to try mattresses sends up red flags. I hope that was reported because it sounded completely inappropriate to me.
