Feedback on Measure Consumer Perspectives

I've done several shops for them since I started shopping about a year ago. No problems.

I've just done 4 bonused shops for them this week, 80 bucks for 4 very easy shops is awesome. All are within 10 minutes drive for me, as well. Hopefully I do not run into any issues with them, because this is the easiest money I have ever made MSing.
What is Driveline? I don't see it on the list of MSCs.

She is a big help with Measure. I communicate with her often so feel free to use her as a contact for Measure
I just started working with them but like them
@Aviroots Driveline is a retail merchandising company.
I have done 3 of the "exit interviews" for MCP. You are required to either stay for an hour, or until you have 7 people. I have never had more than 4. The questionairre is only about 7 questions per person, so when they leave I say, "Excuse me, can I borrow you for about 2 minutes to answer 7 questions on the customer service you just received?" and only once has someone declined.

I have two clipboards and two pens in case there's two people leaving at the same time. And I bring the guidelines for the rest of my shops for the day with me when I'm standing outside the store to review!

In my area it has all been $20.

I usually email the scheduler after I've applied and say "I am going to that area on ___ day and I need to know if I should work that into my schedule or not" and I've usually gotten a response in a reasonable amount of time.

Wow that is great money! What kind of shop was it? You cud PM me if u wish Linda
How long do shops stay on Pending Validation status. I have some shops that have been in that status over a week.
I would love to know the answer to that question too!
Hi,

I schedule for them and if you can email me some details...I can try to see what the issue is.

thanks

The one thing that kind of irks me with MCP is that once shops are listed, it seems as if there are more than 2/3 of those shops showing "backup shopper." I've taken all of their certifications and tests to qualify for shops yet I rarely see them.

But the best part of all is the elusive dental shop that it offers. I applied to it, the shop stays open forever (2 months in this case), then disappears on the due date, only to reappear the next day. So I apply again, only for this shop to sit in queue. The scheduler never answers her email as well as the telephone, and the CEO (who I actually like) gives me lip service by saying "we'll look into it" and never follows up with you even after you try to do so with them.

All the while, there is a "pull" to this company that I can't explain. Its as if the impasse in communication is a riddle awaiting to be solved. I dunno.
Eric,

If you email David@measurecp and he says he'll look into it or contact the
scheduler., my experience is that he does what he says he will do, or you can find out from him who the scheduler is.

They seem to have gotten a lot bigger recently and started using outside scheduling companies who dont seem as responsive...but David does handle it if
you give him all the info on the shop you want and what area it is in and you are in.
@shoppingalong Thank you! I will certainly reach out to him tonight.
I love MCP! My pay has been GREAT! The bonuses are SUPER GREAT! I love the exit interviews.
Thanks for taking care of this for me, Robin. It was very quick smiling smiley

I shopped at a wireless store. Two of the three didnt have business cards and I dont have a digital camera. The shops did give me a catalog and wrote their name. The company wont accept the catalogs. I can not drive around for free. It is not my fault a company does not have business cards. MCP should trust their shoppers and not treat them like lying thugs.
txmedia,
A digital camera is a must for any shopper. Perhaps this is not the line of work for you.

If the client requires some proof, don't blame the MSC for enforcing the rule. Did your instructions say what to provide as proof if no business card was available? Did you call or email your scheduler after the first time that you could not get a card and get a written reply telling you what would be an accetable alternative proof before you went on to do more such shops? Until you have done what you can do to find out what would hve been acceptable proof of visit, please do not call the MSC a thug.

I, too, have found David to be very responsive to emails and phone calls. I, too, know and like the company owner, but get very frustrated with some of the communication lapses. That's why David and Robin are great additions to their staff.

Measure is one of the best companies out there. If I recall, they require a photo of the outside of the store and it is quite clear in the guidelines. One constant in the business, you don't follow the guidelines, you don't get paid. As long as they requirements are spelled out, there should not be an issue. If you are unwilling to give them what they need, you should not take the shop. Just a few weeks ago a shopper forgot to take the photo and they extended the due date so she could return and get the shot. The report was then accepted and she will be paid. That is more than some companies would do for a shopper.

Love MCP! They have great restaurant shops in my area. They always pay promptly.
MCP shops= good.

MCP communication= not so good.
MCP communication with Robin and David = good.
Other MCP communications: not so good, lol.
I have done some long route shopping for Robin and have had her phone support all along the way. Before that, phone suppost was non-existant for their video routes!

David always responds to me. He was polite and helpful. That is why I was a bit surprised that one of their other schedulers who I will not name never responded to me.
@spree David still hasnt responded to my inquiry yet 'll give him the benefit of the doubt due to end of week.

Sorry to hear that Eric. Have you tried calling him? My 2-3 experiences with David have all been positive. He may be out of the office or he may not have an answer for you yet. Let us know how it turns out.
I did not call them lying thugs. I said shoppers are treated like lying thugs. I would think the company would be delighted to hear what I saw and heard at the shops instead of someone who has been hired by the company editing the truth.
Wales -

They sure do have what is "acceptable proof" in their guidelines. All one has to do is read the guidelines.

Heck, there are even PICTURES of what is "acceptable proof". A picture of the outside of the building is acceptable proof. MCP is the only company that I automatically take a picture of the outside of the building - since so far, it seems every job I've ever done for them involving cell phones requires a Business Card OR a picture of the outside of the building.

Txmedia - it seems like you have done nothing but slam MSC's since you joined the forums.

Maybe being a shopper is *not* the type of work you should be thinking about. You've alluded to the fact that you are not getting paid right away, that the MSC's are greedy because they keep your money for 30/60/90 days, etc. When you signed up with each specific MSC, you KNEW the guidelines for payments. It's only your fault when you failed to take those payment guidelines into consideration when applying for those jobs.
