Has anyone heard of them or have you done any work for them? I got an email asking if I could do a shop in my area. I signed up & I did it and accepted another one in a town close by. Both shops were bonused! The second one was an even higher bonus. I was contacted by the editor with a question on the receipt, (they had not reset the time to DST) They were very nice & replyed back to thank me for the quick response. I was able to self-assign the second shop. They pay by PayPal.

I used to do ice cream shops for them at a shop I would normally never go into. They paid as expected.
Great company to work for, very understanding, and I just met two of their VERY NICE employee's at the IMSC conference.
They have very little in my area but what I have done for them has overall been okay. They are annoying in that they send lots of emails for shops hundreds of miles away.
They are very nice to work with and have always been fair to me. I had a chance to meet schedulers this past weekend and enjoyed the experience. They were friendly and fun to chat with.
I like the company and the scheduler I worked with. I joined with them in January and did two shops. The reports were reasonable and they paid on time.

Sincerely,

Not much in my area of So. Cal., but I enjoy working for the company as well. Reliable and reasonable.
Has anyone else had problems with shops being excluded and not paid? I did a high-end restaurant/winery shop for this company at which I was required to output money. I tried to be conservative but ended up spending $70.00. The guidelines said to visit the bar as well as order a meal. I saw only one bar and ordered from there. My receipt said BAR and I had no reason to think it was not the correct bar. After several emails back and forth with the scheduler, I was told that I had visited the wrong bar and that I would not be reimbursed anything. In almost 16 years of mystery shopping, I have NEVER had this happen to me. Has anyone else suffered this or something similar and, if so, how did you handle it?

I had to visit the bar as well as eat, and then I also had to taste at a wine counter. Could that be the difference?
I am regestered with them, but, they have nothing (ever) in this area.

Yes, Karen - I was supposed to order a drink at the bar as well as dine in and do a wine tasting also. However, I did not see another bar during my visit and assumed that the bar I visited was the only one available. The girl behind the counter acted as if she was a bartender and, as I stated, the receipt said "Bar Receipt". I was told that I only visited the wine tasting bar. Now I am out $70.00 for eating and drinking somewhere I would not visit if it was not a shop. I have always been reimbursed at least what I put out for a shop. I realize that I did not complete the shop entirely but, honestly, I did not see another bar. I feel that I was treated unfairly. If I had known that I would not be paid for ANY portion of the shop, I would gladly have returned to try to locate the other bar.

Hi Penwoman,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with one of our shops. I'd like to help you out as best I can, but need to know more about what happened. If you can email me at mhynd@ishopforyou.com, I'd be happy to look into this for you.

Thank you!

I did one shop for them last year. It was fun and easy to complete. They paid on time, as promised.
They do a childrens clothing store I LOVE to shop at for my granddaughter. I don't mind the narratives, and they always pay as promised.

I've done the children's clothing shop and taken my nephew. A lot of narrative, but they certainly are reputable, and pay on time. smiling smiley
