FF Shop for Marketforce

In need of a quick answer for a ff shop with marketforce. My assignment says that I can either go for breakfast or lunch. It also says that it is a special order assignment. I wanted to go for breakfast, but can I do this for a special order? The instructions tell what to get for lunch with a special order. But why would they make breakfast an option then? Has anyone ever done breakfast with a special order shop? And, does anyone have a phone number to get in contact with someone at MF so I can ask them about this?

Snuffy - what does it specifically state on your CPI?

I've done, oh, I don't know how many both SO's and Regular Orders, and I've never had the choice. I don't use the guidelines that you download except to find out what I am supposed to order. I follow the CPI first.

The guidelines that you can download - should have what you can order as a special order breakfast. Not sure though.

Sorry cannot be of a better help for you.

Well, in the time to shop section, it says this:

Breakfast Mon-Fri: 7 AM-9 AM Breakfast Sat-Sun: 8:15 AM-9:45 AM Lunch Mon-Sat: 11:45 AM-1:15 PM Lunch Sun: 12:15 PM-1:15 PM Dinner Mon-Sun: 5:15 PM-6:45 PM

But, then it definitely says that this is a special order shop.

This is the first time I've had the option as well. I think they did that to attract more shoppers -- but, maybe they forgot that it is a special order shop. The guidelines definitely don't give instructions for a special order breakfast. And, really, what could you remove from a breakfast sandwich besides the cheese? I'm gonna try and contact MF now that I found their number, but I think I'll be playing it safe and doing a lunch shop.
You are right, snuffy, I've never done a special order breakfast although I've done plenty of these, both lunch and breakfast. I have done shops where I had a choice of B/L or B/L/D, usually toward the end of the month and usually when the prices have started to go up, but none of them has been special order. I don't think there is a special order breakfast. I would guess your shop is only special order if you choose to do it at lunch. But if it were me I would probably do it at lunch because it is easier knowing for sure it is a special order and knowing what to order. Not sure who to call.

edited to say: we cross-posted. You are doing what I would. Better safe than sorry. I'd be afraid if I called and someone told me no-special-order breakfast was OK, a different editor would be on duty and throw my report out.

I am almost positive there are no "special order" breakfast shops. Anytime I have taken one with multiple options (and I have taken a lot of them) breakfast OR lunch, they have never been special orders. I know as it gets towards the end of the month they change the shops so you have more options on times and dates. My guess is it originally started out as a special order lunch or dinner shop and someone didn't change it when they added the breakfast too it. I too would go at lunch or dinner, if you can, and do it as a special order to be safe.
SnuffyCuts99: If you do the shop, make sure that the cashier has the order correct and rang the order up indicating that it was a special order. I had one a couple of weeks ago where I ordered correctly; however, when I sat down to eat, I saw the mayo, which was the item I asked to take off, was on the burger. I looked at my receipt and saw she didn't even ring it up right. Because of this, I was out of pocket for my fee, the "nice" bonus, and the reimbursement for the dine-in visit!

I tried calling MF while I was still at the restaurant, but no one answered. So, I didn't complete the drive-thru because I didn't want to be out of anymore money, especially knowing they weren't going to pay me because the "receipt" did not show it was supposed to have been a special order.

I cancelled the shop when I got home and contacted the help desk to let them know why I cancelled it. I received an email and was told I should have contacted them first, which I told the lady I did, instead of cancelling it. I told her I went through that before with a shop I completed for that same client and because the "receipt" said something completely different than what I actually ordered, they took what was on the receipt and didn't pay me the fee, my BIG BONUS, or my reimbursement for both portions of the shop.

hmmmmm...well this has me thinking. so i went for lunch and did the shop as a special order. funny socal shopper that you posted that. because...after i ordered my sandwich with the sauce removed, i look at the receipt and it doesn't show that. but, the sauce was removed on the sandwich. what am i supposed to do...tell them that the receipt is wrong? i just submitted it as it was and we'll see what happens. i'm sure this has happened to someone before...will MF really reject the shop because of this?
They rejected mine because of the receipt, so it will be very interesting to see what they do with yours. If you didn't mention it in the report about the receipt being incorrect, then be on the look-out for an email from them questioning the receipt. Or you might want to email the help desk, but go through your email account not the website because I've found I get a quicker reqponse that way. Email them at HelpDesk@marketforce.com.

I pray it works out for you. smiling smiley

Snuffy - Out of the 60-70 FF places I've done, I've had 4 that had problems with the receipts.

1 of them, my bad, wasn't thinking, used debit card at the WI. Got reimbursed for the DT but no reimbursement for WI. Paid 1/2 shop rate.

1 of them, receipt didn't have correct information. Not reimbursed for that portion.

Another one, I specifically requested no sauce. She thought I said no cheese (how you get cheese from sauce is beyond me). Receipt said "no cheese". I ended up getting paid for this one, but I had put a big explanation of how I repeated myself several times at the end of the survey. I think there is a question on the survey that asks something to the effect, "Did the order taker understand your order?" --> of course I marked it no.

Last one, I finally got smart where the receipt was messed up and took a freakin' picture of the sandwich without the topping! In my graphic program, I put the Receipt and the Photo on the same jpg file, put text on the photo with an arrow pointing to my "Required Order - No Sauce" - and I DID get paid for that one.

I once had a special order where the receipt was wrong, but the label on the box indicated "no pickle". I took that lable with me and scanned it with the receipt. They paid me no questions asked. I am not sure what would have happened if I just sumbitted the receipt.
I've had wrong receipts several times and have always been approved. I try to squeeze in an explanation in their limited character narrative boxes to explain. Recently a receipt listed "No Sauce" on a regular shop. I explained that it was there, but I did not request No Sauce and nothing was removed. I've had the receipt not list a requested removed ingredient and just answered the question that the item was removed on the form. No questions were asked. I guess it depends on who reviews the shop. If the restaurant makes the mistake, I would never discontinue the shop for fear of not getting paid. I would make sure to explain it though.

I just did a special order shop yesterday that was breakfast, lunch or dinner. I just received an email from QC for a shop variance. The email also told me to read my shop guidelines!!! I emailed back and explained that the guidelines did not specify a special order breakfast. I better get paid!!!

I feel certain the email was computer generated. I will let you all know what happens.
I have gotten two "Notice of Shop Variance" e-mails. One was I did not do he special order and was my fault. The second was I did the shop on the wrong date. This was a MF scheduler mess up as it was assigned to me at 10pm the day it was due but for shop the next day.

Both were paid with no calls from me.
I just had a funny one. I ordered the fish as a walk in, but the cashier was distracted and punched in Big Mac meal. It would have been a complete mess if I had turned it back with timing receipt, etc. So I accepted the meal and receipt and ordered the fish at the DT. Phew! It worked out.

I have done pick your meal time shops and I have done the special order shop, but never combined. I would be curious if it could be done for breakfast...not that I ever get up early enough to take a breakfast shop.

I never heard anything from MF regarding my shop, so I'm assuming it must have been accepted. On their website, it says that the receipts have been verified. Do they always contact you if they end up docking your pay on a shop? I don't think their shop history/pay info on their website is too clear.

Yes you hear right away if there is a problem.

The receipt verified is usually within an hour or less. It just means you went to the correct location, at the right time frame and ordered correctly. It does not mean your report itself have been verified. That can take a day or two for FF and longer for other shops.
