Second to None - Having Issues with submitting report

I'm having problems submitting my report. It comes back saying I have over 1000 characters and I copied it to a word processor to check and it says I'm under 1000 (actually like 955). I had to work really hard to get it that low. I don't know what else I could cut out - it's for a summary. I've left an email to the help desk and a phone message. Anything else I could do? It's afterhours so I doubt anyone will get back to me until tomorrow and then it's late.

I had the same issue and I moved part of my comments to another section of the report and e-mailed them to let them know. The section I moved them to was not related to my comments, but it was the only place I could fit them on the report. I ended up speaking to someone as well, letting them know what I did. They accepted my report.

Thanks! I got it worked out. Apparently they count the spaces between words and my word processor does not. Good tip! I will maybe have to try that if need be next time.

My own complaint with STN is that they should let me know ahead of time, if max is 1,000 characters.

I love Second to None. I had three free lunches at two different sandwich shops. I felt the surveys were very reasonable. I had the same problem with the narratives. It kind of hard not to say too much since most MSC's want paragraphs of detailed narrative.

I enjoy their sub shop, but have been unable to submit it more than once because of the comment boxes containing too many, or too few, characters. It was a guessing game for me to add or subtract words.

It is not too much to expect the MSP to announce the magic number!

I agree. It would also be helpful if the box told you how many characters were in the box.

I'm jealous,in my area I never get sub shops.That would be a pleasent change.(I'm in NC)

Beware the insurance shops.... it says could take 20 minutes means MUST take 20 minutes. So if your rep is done talking you have to keep the conversation going....

The sub lunch is almost not worth it, because it's a low flat fee and no reimbursement. I did two and after over-writing and spent time shortening the narrative - it's not worth the fee.

More and more are going to reinbursement only. Basically you are working for a free lunch. Not only that they generally tell you what sandwich to buy. The companies are getting wiser, they see shoppers will work for food only. Sad.

I used to do a lot of their office supply store shops, but the scenario is just downright weird at this point. And then the 5-7 paragraph at the end of the report which has nothing to do with your scenario is just painful to write.

I am about to deactivate from this one. Nothing but problems! There are so many better companies that pay more than just a reimbursement for crappy food. They take too long to respond to applications and emails. So frustrating!

Please wait for them to add a fee before taking those sub shops. Don't do it for the paltry reimbursement. It ruins it for everyone!

I don't like the waste of perfectly good paper, after the shop. The onsite and report, when bonused, makes it takeable. I have recycled every bit I can, excepting the two-sided colored, which I shred and add to the compost. The spiral bound copies are good to take on dining shops. They have graphs and pictures and can be decoys for chicken-scratching notes on the flip sides.
