JM Ridgeway - When do they pay?

Greetings and Happy Monday fellow MS'sing friends.

Does anyone know their pay schedule? I've heard it's sporadic, but I'm wondering when I should start harrassing them for my pay. I did two mattress shops in February an still haven't gotten paid.

Also, anyone know anything about the Pinnacle pay schedule? I did a bank shop in early March and I'd like to get paid before I close the bank account that I had to open.

For Pinnacle my February shops were paid March 10th. But remember to have them close the account for you so you won't have any fees. I believe if Pinnacle closes the account they can do it so you don't have early closing fees but if you close it the fees stand.

Thanks for the heads up Liz! I wonder why my March shop hasn't been paid yet. Ugh, I despise harrassing MSC's for my money! LOL.
Pinnacle will automatically assign you shops at that bank throughout the year and reimburse you for service fees each month if you want to keep the bank account open.
JMRidgeway pays shortly after you send an email requesting pay. I don't know why but I have never been paid by them without sending an email inquiring about it.

As for Pinnacle, a shop done in early March should have been paid on April 10th. Anything reported and accepted before the 20th is paid on the 10th of the following month.
I've had problems being paid by JMRidgeway. I think it's usually a 60-90 day window. I have shops from 1+ year ago that I was never paid for, even after repeated emails. I no longer shop for them at all.

I also no longer shop for Ridgway because I refuse to shop for companies that make you beg for your money. I think once I've done the shop I've earned payment, I don't feel I should have to remind or demand. Try e-mailing Ann. She seems to be the only one at Ridgway who can manage to pay the shoppers. AA@JMRidgway.com I kind of think companies who don't pay until you ask for the money are hoping you forget..... Go luck, I hope Ann manages to get you paid.
I haven't shopped for JM Ridgway in quite some time. They don't seem to have shops in my area any longer. Their turnaround was 90 days when I did shop for them. But, as others have said, an accompanying email was always a part of the deal to get paid. I only ever had to send one email. A couple times I did forget about a job or two and I was surprised to see a check show up six months later. And kicking myself for forgetting to remind them. They've never stiffed me on a job though.
I did 7 shops for them in early March - no pay yet ($160)

I did 5 shops for them in early April - no pay yet ($95)

I did 6 shops for them in May - for a total of $115

Dumb, dumb, dumnb. Now I guess that I'll be waiting until after the kids are back in school to get my $$$$.
@MissyH71 Email Ann in accounting at AA@JMRidgeway.com. She is pretty much the only one that will handle payment issues. Also, I do believe that they are on a 60-day pay cycle and are still paying by check. Even though that they are and should be on the PayPal system, I've received checks in the mail from them. Due to this, double-check your mailing address to see if it is up to date for you to receive check payments.
Thanks! I received pay from Pinnacle last week after a gentle reminder. As for JMRidgeway, I'm emailing them right now. Such a shame that companies operate this way.
@Eric - did as you suggested. The check for my February shops came in the mail today. As the kids say, "I owe you a solid."

It is a handwritten check on what kind of looks like a personal bank draft. Hope it's good; I'll drop it off at my bank today and see if it's A-OK.

That's what I always get from them. They've always been good.
I emailed Ann @ JMR and didn't receive a response. I'm hoping to just get a check in the mail one of these days. :-)
Wait a week and e-mail her again....sometimes she is off on vacation or whatever, and any payments there seem to stop. Although I probably won't work for them again (I never say never) because I make it a practice to not accept jobs for companies who make me beg to collect my payment, I did notice during the 3 jobs I performed for them that all 3 times once I reached Ann I got paid immediately by PayPal.
Shoppin',

Surprised you did not receive a response! When this post first came up on the forums, I realized I hadn't been paid for a job done on March 3rd! I emailed Ann on May 13th. I received an email from her on... May 15th, and the money was in my paypal on the 17th.

When you sent your email, did you include your job #, and shop name, etc.. ? (Just curious, you probably did, but mentioned so others know to do so too)

Rainy,

I did. I straight up copied and pasted my shopper homepage with the jobs listed into the email. LOL.

I emailed her on the 17th...I'm hoping for some "surprise" paypal money or happy mail in the mailbox in the next few days. If I don't hear anything back, I'll shoot her another email.

I'm with ya on that AustinMom. I'm no longer doing Goodwin shops, JM Ridgeway, or Cirrus Marketing. Let me know if I've missed any MSC that should be on that list! Those are the ones that I know I've had to "remind" to pay up. Pinnacle wasn't so bad, I think they may have just forgotten and that does not seem to be the norm with them, but I'm limited with them anyhow because I refuse to set foot in that abomination of a bank I went to and that's the only location they have near me.

Thanks everyone, for your input and sharing your experiences!
This is the only company I shop for that I have to beg to be paid for my shops. Each and EVERY time I have shopped for them, I have ended up having to email Anne several times to get paid for the shop. The other companies I shop for sends paypal each month on time without me having to beg for payment. Whats up with this place????
I emailed Ann and was told July shops would be paid 1st part ofsept. Since it is now the 1st part I emailed again asking for a specific date. Let me know if you get paid.
I received payment today for July shops.I emailed Ann Monday and the check was in the mail Tuesday.
I was talking to another member the other day about this and we both agreed that this company pays every 60 days or so from the time the shop was completed. One thing of mention is that its always wise to follow up with JM due to a habit of them marking in Sassie "Payment made on xx/xx/12", for example. I followed up as a courtesy 8 days following this notice and then was sent a Paypal payment within the hour. The Paypal payment was interesting because usually, JM mailed a paper check to me in the past.

These guys do pay, unlike some other companies aforementioned on this board. Is it a PITA to send a reminder? I can agree to that. Yet if its a 15 second email reminder as opposed to constant attempts to call and email every other day, then no big deal.
I was under the impression that it was paypal unless you do not send them your pp address. Emailed twice, not too late yet. Maybe next week? I can only hope.
I did a mattress shop for them last month and it was not graded and no comments were made. It has only been a month so I will wait for a couple of weeks to request payment. I will no longer work for this company this was my first and last shop. The other companies I work for send payment within the 30 days without having to request payment.

Hi, Richard, it has been a while since I've worked for Ridgway because I don't work for the MSCs that make me ask for my money. I feel like I've earned it by performing the assignment and submitting the report and that they should be organized enough to pay me according to their stated payment terms without me begging for my money. BUT - the times that I have worked for them, I have never known them to grade the report. They do not make any notation on the Shopper Log except to mark it "Received." I have never gotten any questions or comments from them after submitting a report. They do add the payment date to the Shopper Log when they pay you.

I have done several mattress shops for them in different states. They pay through PayPal. I never had any problem getting paid. Seems like usually 30 days. I didn't worry too much. Bought some expensive mattresses after the shop. But I had that intention. Just got paid to do the mattress research I was going to do anyway
Two people on Facebook today mentioned receiving handritten checks from JMR this week. Is that normal ? They owe me for a mattress store job I did last November.
I got a hand-written check when my total pay was, as they told me, too big to go through PayPal. Smaller payments from them have come via PayPal.
