Cori shops question

I took a certification for their gas station shops. I'd like to do some of them but since the certification was so long and detailed I'm wondering how hard the gas station shops are to do. I ask about the difficulty because the pay is not very high.

I'm not going to blow smoke, realize that whenever you begin doing audits they are always going to take longer. Those of us that have done a lot of them are completing the on-site in 20 to 30 minutes. The reports are not too bad even with their photo upload being a bit archaic.

I completed a station with 16 pumps in 30 minutes a couple of days ago. Sizing and renaming 29 photos using Microsoft Picture Manager took right at 12 minutes and a few minutes was actually "inactive" time as it takes that long for everything to save after I click the button. The report was completed in less than 15. I held out until the shop had gone over $40. I also knew going in that it was a large station and also knew it is practically pristine. Clean station in compliance means less timesmiling smiley

Spree - at first it will take you a long time to do one of these stations and report it. The more you do, the faster you get. You have to work out a system. Make yourself a check list and try to be efficient. LisaSTL is right on the button with her advice and timings. These are worthwhile if you work them the right way.

Thanks for the advice ladies/guys. Its sounds like there are a lot of things to watch out for. I may just hold off on them since I have many shops I'm more familier with already. Do either of you know how difficult their Hardware Store shops are?
Like all of their shops and all shops everywhere for that matter, there is a learning curve. None are truly difficult. They are all time consuming at first and then you get in a pattern and you know what you are doing.

I think both are easy. But...I am very familiar with gas station audits and mystery shops and if you have done one you have an understanding what you are looking for. The hardware shop is easy (to me) but I have done many of them. The very first one I did I was at the store for about 45 minutes trying to get all my interactions and about 20 minutes on the report. Now both are cut in half.

I've never taken anywhere near that many photos. If a station is bad there have to be pics of negatives, but there aren't that many questions on the survey and there is no point in taking 20 times as many pics as you can upload into a report. Every gas station audit requires pics of the pump from top to bottom, that's why they changed over from mystery shops.

CORI does not try to get out of paying. I've only had a few shops denied in 4 years and well over 600 jobs and in each case I made a boo boo. At least they don't hold it against me.
