MarketForce - Auto Assign???

Ok, so today was the first time I have been "auto-assigned" a shop by MarketForce. I got an email saying that they went ahead and "took the liberty" of assigning me the shop rather than having me waste my time looking for it on the website. Really??? Of course, the shop had a $0 fee, lol. They didn't want to auto assign me a bonus I guess. Anyways, after I emailed them the shop was cancelled. But, is this something new or have they been doing this for a while? I am certainly NOT a fan of it. I can pick and choose my own shops thank you very much, MF.

MarketForce staff do not record your information you call the 1-800 number, then before you know it your account is deactivated.... this company SUCK..... in as much as ppl are looking for work, the think you are desperate... I rather go wash floors than work for $0 from Marketforce because the companies pay them BIG dollers
I have never had any problems with Marketforce. I have done 30 shops for them in the past year and have never had a problem. Well, the FF shops do not help my diet but that is MY problem, not their's. I don't understand all of the hatred for this company. They have diverse client companies and pay as promised. Maybe I have just been lucky. Maybe I have had a good experience because I follow the guidelines and input my shops on time. Don't let Hanaemori steer you away from this MSC.
I only had one case where a scheduler tried to slip in a couple extra jobs after we discussed and I accepted a single shop. I just sent a message through the system that I didn't request or accept the other jobs, and they took them off. No problems.
I have a different gripe. MF has called me everyday this week about the same job!!
The last time they called, when I said they had already called me everyday this week, the woman, said "Oh really?" and proceeded to tell me AGAIN of the SAME assignment!! OMG! When I again refused, she offered be a "big" bonus of $2.

Wow....
I don't have any problem with Market Force. On the profile there is a place to select or de-select whether or not you want to have jobs autoassigned. I would double check to see if your profile acidentally has autoassign selected.

I do get calls from Market Force pretty regularly and they used to annoy me, but they often have payments double of what the listed payments are and you can haggle with them when they call.
I have done over 750 shops for MFI, so my days may be numbered. But until then, I like them a lot. I don't get calls all that often, but when they do, they have always honored their bonus. I take a lot of non-bonus shops, because they are fun and diverse. They have taken a lot of shops from other msc. The most recent is the upscale skin care store. Their reports are never difficult and never an issue with payment.

If you stop answering their calls, they will slow down the calls to almost none. I took the time to add all of their numbers to my contacts with the initials "M.F."

Also, I signed up for the auto-assign when I first started and never got one. A year later they finally fixed it and I woke up to several auto-assignments. I changed the dates or cancelled them and changed my profile. That was messed up!
This happened to me once a while ago. One of their schedulers attempted to call me, but I really did not want to eat some nasty greasy food at that time. I ignored the call and next thing you know, I receive an email notification that I was assigned a shop. I didn't raise a fuss, but I was mildly annoyed. I simply canceled the shop and made mention of the situation in the notes as to why I was canceling it.
Beatles,

What you call "Hatred" for one particular company does not come from nowhere. Neither does it grow overnight. The company must have ill-effected many of us shoppers. For starters, nobody feels good about being booted off without at least being given a decent explanation. That's enough reason to 'hate' a company IMO.

Well I repeat what I might have in earlier posts...it takes just ONE rotten apple for it to ruin the whole lot....I have strong reason to suspect that the culprit in MF's mysterious deactivations is none but SIMONE.

If beatlesfan is referring to simply Hanaemori's post that's fine because he/she obviously has an ax to grind and after doing a bit of bashing has now left the building. On the other hand, don't judge others experiences in the same way. Many people who have also followed guidelines and input shops on time have still had problems and many have been deactivated for no apparent reason.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Exactly Lisa, that's why I can almost justfy 'hatred' towards the company from shoppers who have been burnt..

MF recently picked up a Pittsburg based grocery chain here in Columbus from Mystery Guest. MS used to pay $30. for a shop, now Market Force reimbursed for $15. of groceries. Not worth my time to even go do several at a time . Sure do miss Kroger shops!!
They have done that to me, but I would go into the website and cancel the shop. So far, I have never had it count against me. There is a place in your profile where you can delete the option to be auto-assigned shops. I haven't been bothered with those since I deactivated myself from it. They will call me when they need of some their FF shops completed and we come to an agreement on a lucrative "bonus" for each in order for me to go. I just did one last week and two this week and decided to just eat the English muffin, cheese and the white of the egg...I sit where nobody can see me deconstructing the sandwich. lol I take a small bite of the sausage and the hash brown. I bring the other meal home to my son.

I do not mind the assignments from the purple portal at all. I actually welcome them because they are varied and usually quick.

What I do not like is when I turn down a shop only to have the scheduler argue with me about why I cannot take it.

Recently, a scheduler called and I explained I was going to be out of town so would be unable to help with the shop. The scheduler actually argued with me about whether I could help. The scheduler "suggested" that I might be home in time to make a "little" visit to a store in my area, so why turn it down? I explained that I did not want to commit to something that I would NOT be home to do. The scheduler persisted, so I hung up on him.
