Hi,

Has anybody completed any of their $50 phone shops,if so ,how was the report.
I was surprised at the bonus on these jobs.I wish they had more jobs in my area.

I've done them for $17, $50 and $75. The report is not bad at all. It's a bit confusing with some questions only applicable for other countries. If you answer incorrectly, you'll be prompted to change it before submitting. It's really a piece of cake. I took 2 at the $50 rate. Did one today and will do one tomorrow.

Be sure to record the code from the bottom of the instructions. You will need to enter it before you can submit the report.

Gotta be some glitch. Get ahold of suppport. I can never find anything except in NY state. I find their search function weird. Maybe I am doing something wrong.??
I just put it on my list of companies to ignore. I'm too busy finding new to me companies to apply for. Thanks though, cynb.
Not sure why you guys would choose to ignore them. The normal pay for their shops is fairly good and bonuses are great. I've done the shop discussed for $17 + $50 bonus. On-site was 20 minutes and the report was about the same.

Their search function isn't hard once you get used to it. Missouri is in the West North Central section which I find weird, but it works. cynb I think you are in the East North Central area which has about 5 states and all appear to have jobs right now. I chose a few cities and even found one which is up to $50.

I got an automated rejection, too. I wonder if it's because of my location (Southern California).
I did 2 shops today for $75.oo each. One of my customers was next door so it's sweet killing 2 birds.
Have you worked for them before? Do they pay timely? I just took my first shop with them for $50 right across the street from another shop. They asked me to complete three more, if I could, today for $50 each. I am just concerned because I normally do a shop for a company, see how it goes and see if I get paid before going further.

My experience is brief, but as follows. First month paid on time and in full. Second month paid on time and short one job with a bonus and another that was regularly priced. They made it good. In general their reviews have been very positive and things like the mistake in pay seem to be few and far between. I will continue to shop for them.

I'm in L.A., and just joined and got accepted. They have one restaurant I see, but I'm waiting.....

I have shopped for them for years and I'm here in SoCal. I just haven't seen any of the cell phone shops here; only the one restaurant.

I applied to become a shopper and it said I was not eligable to be a shopper. Does anyone know how I may contact them to find out why? The post job for my area alot. and the shops do not appear to retricted in any way.
Basic pay is good, bonuses are great and they pay on time, in my limited experience. Had one problem where they didn't pay me for a closed location and they don't respond to the questions put in through their Enquiry link. They also called me really late (as late as 11 pm) in the evening when they were desperate to get some shops filled. I asked them to please note the time difference to avoid that in the future.
Isn't Gapbuster based in England and had a ff client they lost several months ago? Maybe they don't realize what time it is here.
They are actually in Australia. Something I thought was quite cool of them, my registration was after the FF client was gone, but there was a notice on the site which told of the move, thanked their shoppers for all the hard work and, now this was the big one, let shoppers know which MSC had gotten the client. That's a class act in my book.

ffrieszell, they don't have any phone numbers listed. When they call me it comes up with several numbers one of which may be the country code, but not the full telephone number. You might be able to Google them and find something if you don't mind making an international call. Just don't forget the time difference!!!winking smiley

That probably explains the late calls. I used to get calls from them, too. I think it's tomorrow in Australia now.
Yup. They are on the other side of the date line.

England is actually only about 6 hours ahead of the central time zone so depending on where you are 11 pm would be any where from 4 am to 7 am in London.

I think I new that England was six hours ahead and when I did the math after posting about the location figured that was ridiculous time to call on either side of the pond.
They pay near the end of the month following the month of shop completion via direct deposit. I am missing payment for two closed locations, but they have assured me they will be paid in the next cycle. They said they have to verify that they were closed, so it could delay payment being approved.

They were one of the first I ever shopped with about 7-8 years ago. Back then, they paid within days. That was so sweet.

I have had a good experience with this company and the bonus payments. I seem to catch one or two bonus shops each month even the $50 bonus and they pay on time. Every month like clockwork they direct deposit the full amount owed into my checking account on the 27th.
I chose to ignore them because they rejected me. I don't have time to beg a company to take me on. Their loss, can't cry lost income because it wasn't mine to begin with, its only yours after you do the work. If I got upset over every place that did not take me on I would be too busy crying to find or do any work ha ha.

I applied to do the smartphone shops and didn't make the cut. Yet I still get their emails pushing those shops.

I always wish the MSCs would send a msg. as to why you don't meet the requirements, or would put in their emails what the requirements are (like the compliance shops where they specify the age group).
The only qualifying question they asked for the smartphone jobs was whether I worked in the industry.

I have been one of their retail auditor. Then in 2010 Gapbuster stop me from doing the audit checks just because I'm doing it according to the guideline. Their reason because the client's dealers was complaining about my way of doing the job. Until now Gapbuster has not been including me for the audit job. They really really put me aside and did not appreciate it my afford at all
Lisa - I think I am too old for their smartphone jobs. Obvioulsy their client doesn't think we older folks know how to use or want to buy smartphones! LOL

Ive had all good things about gapbuster. I've only been shopping 3 months and they were paying BIG Bonus' for the phone shops in my area. They have called me late in the evening and I could tell the australian accent. I had to miss one shop due to a tornado that came through the area and they were very nice about it. My only complaint is that they get desperate at the end of the month and will call me a lot for shops that I have declined in the past.
Oh and I am no spring chicken at all.
